Creationism & Humanism Part Four

General | kara | 1st Month 28, 2009,17:40

Shabbat Shalom sisters!!

This week I’m returning to the Creationism vs. Humanism topic. Smile There are different laws and other things in science that do disprove Humanism, and give evidence instead to Creationism. I’m going to try and address three of them, starting with something very important: Information.

*First, let me point out that two things can be made of the exact same properties, but one contain  (More)

Our Feelings; Our Relationships

General | kara | 1st Month 17, 2009,08:51

Shabbat Shalom, sisters! :)

I’ll return to the creationism/humanism articles soon, but this week, something has been pressed upon me which I think Yahweh is showing me, through the experiences I’ve had and circumstances I’ve gone through.

Every time someone offends you, or you offend them, or there’s a disagreement between you and someone else, you have to make a decision. You will be faced with a question, a question of importance.. (More)

Reliance

General | kara | 1st Month 10, 2009,07:24

Shabbat Shalom Sisters! :)

Well, for today, I’m going to take a break from the creationism/humanism articles and write about something I have been thinking about for the past few days.

Our reliance on Yahweh.

I was reading in Psalms, chapter 107, and it was talking about how Yahweh helped (More)

Creationism & Humanism Part Three

General | kara | 1st Month 02, 2009,07:55

Shalom sisters!

Hello again! :) This time, I’m going to go over a topic that some people might find puzzling, and “proof” of macro-evolution, or for Humanism. It’s called Homo sapiens or, for a easier term, ape-men.

Many people I am sure look at the various ape-men fossils that have been found, the primitive tools, and pictures that have been drawn and think “Whoa, that proves it!”

Why don’t we take a closer look at all the “ape-men” fossils? Might find something interesting… (More)

Creationism & Humanism Part Two

General | kara | 12th Month 16, 2008,07:31

Shalom, sisters! :D

Here is the second article I promised :D Lol. This time, I am talking about a couple controversial issues that exist between Creationism and Humanism—Dating, and Dinosaurs. (Lol, I know...that sounds weird)

On dinosaurs, the controversy between Creationism and Humanism is the issue of dinosaurs and man living together. Humanists say that the dinosaurs roamed the earth millions of years before humans did, while Creationists say that dinosaurs and people were created together and—lived together.

One very important key in this topic for the Humanists’ side of the debate, (More)

Creationism & Humanism Part One

General | kara | 11th Month 24, 2008,07:21

Shalom sisters!

Hahaha, yes! Another article on creation! :P I will admit it—it’s my passion. I love Creation Science, and talking about the Flood, fossils, and evidence for the Creator, and the truth of the scriptures.

Well, it seems that lately, Yahweh and the Scriptures, as well as His existence, has been incessantly attacked. Not that it never was before, but it seems to be happening now more than ever—that I have remembered.  (More)

Black, White, and Grey

General | kara | 10th Month 10, 2008,22:27

Shabbat Shalom, sisters!

Tonight it is blessed Day of Atonement. It has always been a special day for me; there's something special about it. The day Yahweh set apart from the rest of the feast days to soberly consider all the things you have done, what you need to change, and to beg for His mercy--which He so patiently and freely gives. It's amazing, how much patience and mercy He does have, and how often we take advantage of it!

You know, that has been on my mind soo much lately. And really, if you think about it, what we call "grey" areas oftentimes aren't really "grey", they are just "black" but we don't want to admit it because we want to continue doing it. We enjoy it too much.

One sign that I am beginning to notice, is if an area in my life that was once "black" suddenly turns to "grey", a red flag should immediately go up. "Waaait a minute!! Something's wrong here!" If "black" suddenly turns to "grey", that must mean I am fading spiritually. I am losing ground, falling down the mountain I have to be climbing, slipping backwards down the narrow road. I am backsliding!

And it was such a slow fade that I didn't even recognize it was happening. I wasn't being alert; sensitive. I was slacking, and being "lazy" if I may say, in my spiritual life. I lost a little care for my gift (that everyone has) of a sensitive conscience, and ignored it; seared it with a hot iron, in places that it once nagged me so often about a "black" thing or area.

And I'm sure Yahweh certainly warned me gently here and there, "Look! You're falling! Get up; keep going!! Quit trying to convince yourself that 'black' is really 'grey', just sacrifice and obey!"

Your conscience isn't seared in a day, and black doesn't turn to grey in a day. It's a slow process; a slow fade, I like to say. Fading deeper into darkness; the "black" area. And if you keep fading, well, sooner or later, you're not going to care what's black, white, or even grey. Everything is fine, and if it isn't, who cares? You'll have a seared conscience, and will neglect the Scriptures, prayer, and pretty much alot of things spiritual. And if you keep going, you won't even be saved anymore. Because you won't love Him anymore.

And it's a slow fade. Don't give in to the resistance!

Now I'm sure you're thinking... "What on earth is resistance?"

Well, I hope I can explain this clear enough :) What do we feel when we fight against satan, sin, and such? Resistance. Fighting, all that. It's all resistance. We fight against it all the time. When we say "no!" to sin, we're fighting the resistance. Let me kind of put it this way...

We do everything for the good of Yahweh, for His glory and goodness. We do it all for Him. That's why He created us, to serve and love Him. So we want to, by our small part, glorify Him and exalt Him in the eyes of the world, and all who see. And everything else in the whole Bible, and our purpose all falls into play with this.

We need to overcome the resistance. When "black" turns to "grey" that means that the resistance is gaining a foothold, it's winning. It also means that you are getting weaker. If you let the resistance gain a foothold, get ground, you are getting weaker. The fights will be harder to fight, and you may have repeated battles from the past!

Oh, I am sure, if you realize you have let some "black" slide as "grey", you might be feeling a little hopeless. "Oh, no, I'm weaker? Repeated battles?! NOO!" *Sigh* I know. And I can relate.

For myself, recently I have discovered, more this week than ever, how much I have turned "black" into "grey". How much I have backslidden, fallen, and failed. Oh, I feel very hopeless for sure. "How on earth am I ever going to go back to what I was--and exceed that?" Is one of my primary thoughts.

Honestly, we are weak people who can never fight the resistance alone. We can fight and win tiny victories, but constantly fall back.

"What!" You might exclaim.

Yep. We can't do it. We are not strong enough in any way, shape, or form to successfully overcome the resistance.

But, there is still hope! As much as it has appeared to fade, there is hope. HOPE!

"How?"

Well, we are never alone, for one. Yahushua will be beside us--helping us overcome the resistance! So! Even though we can't do this on our own, He can help us! He's the only one, who can help us undo our mistakes. Undo what we have let ourselves be. Undo what we've become, basically!

We also have the light of His Word! We can lean on that for more strength to help us fight. I especially like these verses, because they help me to push on:

James 1:12  Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which Yahweh has promised to those who love Him.

1 Corinthians 10:13  No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but Elohim is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.

1 Peter 5:6-7  Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of Elohim, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.

Isaiah 41:10  Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your Elohim. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.

Those are just a few of the many scriptures He may show us in time of need. Have you ever had one of those "Yahweh" moments, so to speak? Where you just open up your Bible, and read, and a verse just lights up, even though you have read it 10 times before? :)

Another helpful thing when you are fighting the resistance is encouragement. Encouragement from other sisters is very helpful, and fellowship is a big part of encouraging us, and pushing us on. Here's a place that you can do just that:Yah's Girls Fellowship Forum Feel free to register! :)

So, don't give up. Give the fight all you got :) When you feel down low, pray, read your Bible, or go find someone to talk to. That's what the Forum is for. It's for encouraging, sharing, talking, and well, fellowship. :) It's not the same of course, as real life, but it's something! You can also go to http://www.eliyah.com/chat/ and there are places there you can find people to fellowship with. I am considering making a "Yah's Girls'" Chat room off my dad's channel. I would certainly enjoy any input on that! :) I love hearing any feedback!

I'd also like to note on this Day of Atonement, that allowing bitterness, hate, and anger to live inside is a key thing that helps the resistance to win. If you are harboring any of that toward anybody, I would advise you to forgive and be willing to bear the pain anyone has caused you.

Yahweh helped me this Day of Atonement to forgive and I tell you what, it's so much better. You feel free, alive, happier, I'm telling you! It's worth it!

Yahweh Bless you all! And may you be enlightened this Day of Atonement, and overcome the resistance!

Love in Messiah,

Kara

Welcome, girls!

This is a new blog I created kind of just for girls. I plan to post some of my thoughts or things I've studied about or roles as daughters, and/or sisters, now, and as wives and mothers in the future.

Well, Yahweh Bless you all! I hope this blog blesses you and encourages us to be better daughters and/or sisters in our families.

A sister in Messiah,
Kara
