Wow!

Published on 01/05,2008

Wow. Talk about a week! I can’t believe 2008 is here, and so far, it’s been a great new year Cool

But other than that… wow!! To begin, my mom has had two miscarriages in the past three years—one in 2004, and one in 2006. My brother and I have wanted another little brother or sister (I prayed for a sister from the time I was 5-14!) but because of the miscarriages, I’d kinda given up.

Well, my dad talked to me about it, and he mentioned that they had thought about adoption, but, there was the problem of worldly influences on the children, and it would probably be pretty stressful.

Well, then, we received a phone call.

Here’s what happened, in my Dad’s words:
3 days ago (January 2nd, 2008) I was sitting at the computer doing normal duties.....I received a phone call from someone who knew a couple that was raising their (drug abusing) daughter's four children..They already adopted two of them, one of them had Down's Syndrome. The ones they adopted, they adopted at birth...there were two others that they had custody of, but they had not adopted them.

They were hoping the mother would turn her life around. But she did not have any interest in serving Yahweh even though she knew the truth and even lived it for a little while. But, she hadn't sought to see her children for a year and a half.

Well, this couple was not able to care for 4 children due to health issues. The mother couldn't lift the children and she had retina issues in her eye to where stress could cause her retina to detach and make her go blind. So they were considering giving 2 children, ages 3 and 4, both girls, to foster care system, but they realized that the children would be going to a home environment they knew nothing about, and they had raised the 2 children to love Yahweh and keep Torah, no xmas, no pork, etc (they are believers!). So they put the word out to a friend of theirs to see if any believers would be interested. Their friend called me that day and gave me the phone number, so Kelly and I both talked with this couple and decided that we would come and visit them the following day. We figured that we would visit them, get to know them and see how things go. Come back, pray about it and see what Yahweh wanted us to do

Well...

When we got there it was really amazing...

Those little children clung to us like gravy on rice! They knew nothing of their grandparents plans...and they asked if they could come to our house. My wife was taking one to the restroom and she said, “Please don't ever leave me". We prayed about it. Now they had never asked to go home to anyone, or did this with any one... EVER . Yet, these children were some of the most well behaved, well trained, "Yes sir, no sir, please, thank you" obedient 3 and 4 year old's you'll see.

And when we put them to bed, we sang to them, and when I went to kiss one goodnight, she had tears in her eyes. Then she said, "Do you know why I'm crying?"

She said, "Because I just love Yahweh so much"

We went to bed, and I was sort of in this stunned state of mind. The grandparents were looking at us and were just amazed at what was going on. They had been to this web site years ago, and studied it intently...printed out all of the studies, read the studies on the home, and applied them. This grandfather had turned his heart to his grandchildren, as did the grandmother.

Their other son really loves Yahweh very much, and studies the bible, and he's only 8. But before we even called, he said to his adoptive parents...something like, "I think it will be okay if they are taken to another home, because I'll still be able to see them". He's their birth brother...How did he know? We have come to love these people, they are meek and very spiritually minded. We spent the night with them

And while I was laying on the bed at night, I was praying. I woke up in the middle of the night and I had this overwhelming sense of thanksgiving in my heart... for I felt that Yahweh was saying to me that He had prepared this gift for us, and He is granting it to us. We have lost two babies to miscarriages in 3 years, and now He is bringing us this gift.

They can sign over full guardianship without any problems, they have sole custody and the birth mother has no rights.

The youngest one resembles Kelly when she was that age...even a dimple on the cheek!

And the oldest one looks like my mother when she was small. Her grandparents said they could pass for our children pretty easily. Blonde hair and blue eyes like me

And we prayed about it...we asked them if they would like to come home with us, and they both started jumping up and down like basketballs "yes, yes yes!"

And, beleive it or not, their beds, dresser and everything they had fit in our suburban, along with them in their two car seats and the 4 of us.

When we got home, we got the musical instruments out and started praising Yahweh, and they got out the recorder and tambourines, dancing around, it was awesome.

Their grandparents are coming to visit on the 1st day of the week...the girls might be here for good. We'll see how they react.

The grandparents were concerned that if they tried to take the children home, they might cry; that's how quickly and closely we bonded.

I was holding the oldest one and the grandmother just said, "It looks like your children." The grandfather said, "It's like a piece of the puzzle just found it's place”

I had to agree.”

HalleluYah!! Laughing The girls names are Michelle SaraYah (4) and Leanna MoriYah (3). They are such a blessing! It's soo amazing to me, because I was given double what I prayed for--two little sisters! Smile I would have never thought, never expected this. Yahweh works in mysterious ways, doesn't He? Smile

Romans 8:28 says, "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love Yahweh, to those who are the called according to His purpose." HalleluYah!! All things are working together for good, and growing better, and better. Laughing

May Yahweh Bless you all abundantly as you grow in him!
