Is the Law Jewish? - Study

I'm ready to begin our study portion for today's broadcast Praise Yahweh and how many of you have ever been accused of trying to be like a Jewish person? If you're among those like myself who are trying to observe the law of Yahweh and variably we come across this claim that we're trying to be Jewish, keep the old Jewish stuff that's not for Gentiles. Even some in messianic circles would make the similar claim that those who are Gentiles should not be doing Jewish things. There's a partition. There's a wall, a partition between Jew and Gentile. There was a wall of petition in Jerusalem in the temple area that prohibited Gentiles from going in certain places going too close to the temple area. In fact archeologically they found a sign where they said any Gentile passes this wall will basically be killed. There is this division and Yahushua came and he tore down the wall of partition between Jew and Gentile. He tore it down and the Gentiles sadly have re-erected the wall when they put this page in the New Testament called the New Testament. In the Bible, almost everybody has this little page that says the New Testament. I mean Jews don't go passed those pointer. This is now Gentile world and as they rip the page out, it's not inspired. I remember a brother shared that a number of years ago, it always stuck with my mind that you need to tear that page out of your Bible because it's not inspired. However, there are many people who think there are
certain laws that were just for the Jewish people
and you don't keep those loses ... the Sabbath Day, the Feast Day, the cleaning the unclean, that was all for the Jews. Is that true? Can we find that doctrine in scripture? The answer is no. Those things are not intended to be only for the fact for the law of Yahweh was intended to be yes for the Jews and for the Gentiles.
Many might think I'm keeping a Jewish thing by
observing the Sabbath and the seventh day of the week or if I keep the feast days and somehow the observant of the Fifth Commandment which says honor your parents, that's not Jewish but the Fourth Commandment which says remember the Sabbath to keep it holy, that's too Jewish for me.
Somehow, you're denying Yahushua or you're falling
from grace because you keep commandment number four, you keep commandment number five, six, seven, eight you keep all nine of them, all nine of the Ten Commandments except for the Sabbath and you're not falling from grace. In reading the various anti-Sabbath studies out there, his focus seems to be the Sabbath Day along with certain other selective commandments are intended to be only for Jewish people and that somehow now we're keeping the feast of tabernacles in the Passover that we have rejected Christian holidays Christmas, Easter in favor of Jewish ones.
Now I say that traditional Christianity has rejected
Biblical holidays, they have their roots and scripture in favor of having slapped a Christian name on an old pagan holiday.
Historically, that's true.
They have accepted Gentile, pagan
celebrations and try to put a Christian label on
it and then said they belong to believers but what I see in scripture is the holidays Yahweh commands, they are the ones Yahweh had established to glorify and lead people to the messiah. Now, so the question is this, this is the important question. Is the law Jewish?
In the sense that only certain commands were
intended for Jews or the law itself was intended for Jews, was not intended for Gentiles to observe.
Now, I'll say the laws Jewish in one sense and in
the sense that most of Judaism at least regards keeping the laws being valid, all that they've slapped a bunch of traditions and Talmuds and things on top of it. It's true that to them, to the Jewish people were given the Oracles of Elohim. Romans chapter 3 verses 1 through 2 says what advantage then has to Jew or what is prophet of circumcision much in every way chiefly because to them were committed the Oracles of Elohim. However it's not Jewish in the sense that Yahweh only wanted the Jews to follow the Oracles of Elohim.
Oracles are referencing the commandments, the
commandments in the Torah. In 1 Peter 4:11 says if anyone speaks, let them speak as the Oracles of Elohim.
We're supposed to be speaking according to
these oracles that were given in the Torah.
Today there are actually people that believe the
only thing in the Bible they actually have to follow are the writings of the Apostle Paul because only he was the apostle to the Gentiles and so they only need to obey the things that Paul said and most people don't take it quite that far but in terms of practice these are things I hear quite often. I'll say what about this and people would say he was only talking to the Jews there. He's only talking to the Jews. That was only for the Jews. I'm not Jewish. I'm a Gentile. I'm not Jewish. I'm a Christian. Many years ago, I was very intrigued by a poem. I think really helped put things at perspective and the poem was called, "It's Jewish." I shared this a couple three months ago as we were going through the book of Romans. I want to share it again. It says when we present almighty Yahweh's law and arguments from the scriptures draw objectors say to pick a flaw, it's Jewish. Though at first almighty Yahweh blessed and sanctified his day of the rest, the same belief is still expressed its Jewish. Though with the world this rest begin and then through all the scriptures ran and Yahushua said it was made for man, it's Jewish. If from the scriptures we present the Sabbath's meaning in intent, this answers every argument. It's Jewish. The other disciples Luke and Saul continues still this rest the Sabbath Day, this answers all. It's Jewish. The Evangelist thought a plain expression that sin is of the law transgression. Seems not to make the least impression, it's Jewish. They love the rest of man's invention but if almighty Yahweh's day we mention, this puts an end to all contention, it's Jewish. Well, those who Yahweh's day abuse is simply because was made for Jews, the savior too you must refuse for he is Jewish. Many would claim all become it's Jewish we don't accept it, isn't messiah himself Jewish? Then why do you accept him?
If we reject things simply upon the basis that
they're Jewish we must reject the messiah because he's Jewish and you must not accept the plan of salvation, it's Jewish salvation. Scripture says is of the Jews. Yahushua said it himself. Now, think about this for a moment. If the law was only for the Jewish people there really would be no standard of righteousness for Gentiles until the messiah died and Paul the Apostle gave the Gentiles something to do. The Gentiles will have no standard of righteousness whatsoever, nothing to look upon in order to understand right from wrong until Paul came along. Does that sound logical to you? Does that make any sense to you?
It can't.
It doesn't make any sense whatsoever. Yahweh has always had a standard of right and wrong. Consider Noah, Genesis 7:1-3. Yahweh said to Noah, come into the ark, you and all your household because I have seen that you are righteous before me in this generation.
You shall take with you seven of each of every
clean animal, any male has female, two each of animals that are unclean, a male has female also seven each of the birds of the air male and his female to keep the species alive on the face of the earth. He's talking to Noah and says I know you're righteous. I know you're righteous. Take the clean and the unclean separate them. Genesis 15:5, Abraham is being spoken of this does to Abraham to look now toward heaven and count the stars if you're able to number them. Count the stars if you're able to number them. He says so shall your descendants be. We all know this one. What does it say? He believed Yahweh and he had counted it to him for righteousness. I think most of us know the scripture but did you know this? Genesis 18:19 says for I have known him or that he may command his children, his household after him that they keep the way of Yahweh to do righteousness injustice that Yahweh may bring to Abraham what he has spoken to him or how about this one. Genesis 26:4 I'll make your descendants multiply the stars of heaven, I will give to your descendants all these lands and in your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed talking to Isaac here because Abraham obeyed my voice, kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes and my laws. Yes, there were commandments, there were statutes and they were laws in those days. It's just that they may not have been written down and when the Torah came along it was all written down. Noah recognized cleaning the unclean even offered sacrifices. Abraham paid ties, Sodom Gomorrah were destroyed for disobeying Yahweh, why?
Because there were standards, there was laws,
there were statutes, there was commandments that were expected to be observed. It wasn't a new thing here. This was not, when Yahweh gave the Torah it wasn't all necessarily new.
Bunch of it was already well known.
It wasn't new at all. There's always been righteousness. Righteousness has always been a part of what Yahweh wanted from man from the very beginning.
Psalm 40:10 says I've not hid in your righteousness
within my heart. I declared your faith and your salvation. I have not concealed your loving kindness and your truth from the great assembly.
Pharaoh sent and called for Moses and Aaron and
said to them I have sent this time Yahweh's righteousness, my people and I are wicked. How did he know? How did he know that?
How did he know that Yahweh was righteousness?
Because there were standings. Yahushua said in John 16:25, our righteousness father, the world has not known you but I have known you and these have known that you sent me. I have declared to them your name and will declare it and the love with which you love me maybe in them and I in them.
Yahweh is righteousness and we are created in his
image and he wants us to also be righteousness. The question is what is the righteousness standards? What are they? What are the righteousness standards? Yahushua walked in the Yahweh's righteous image perfectly. Now it was already well known that Abraham stated difference between right and wrong, it wasn't too far from the beginning of creation and Adam's son Seth, did you know he lived almost into the days of Noah and Noah's son Shem lived well into Abraham's day and was alive and on the earth? When Jacob was born, just examine the length of people's lives and you'll see it's true but when the children of Abraham were in Egypt and their lives were shortened. There was the standard of righteousness being lost and so Yahweh had it written down his righteous commandments for the next generation to know them so they would not be lost. He committed that duty to the Jewish people. Yahweh gave Torah. He gave instruction, but Torah, the word law in Hebrew is Torah and simply means instruction and teaching. It's kind of sad that the word Torah was translated law because it's not really the full meaning of Torah. Sometimes, I'll use the word Torah or teaching or instruction when referring to Yahweh's law. The law of Yahweh expands above and beyond what we see in Genesis to Deuteronomy, the five books of Pentateuch. It expands also into the prophets. We read in 1 Corinthians 14:21, it says in the law it is written, in the law it is written, in the law it is written. With men of other tongues and other lips, I will speak to these people and yet for all that, they will not hear me says Yahweh. He's quoting from Isaiah 28:11. He's quoting saying in the law it's written and he's quoting from the book of Isaiah. The book of Isaiah is indeed law.
It is Torah.
It is instruction. It is teaching. It is good for us. It's all part of Yahweh's word. Deuteronomy 6:27 says then it will be righteousness for us if we are careful to observe all these commandments before Yahweh, our mighty one as he has commanded us.
Observing all these commandments results in a
person being righteous. Now, none of us have kept all the commandments and so we can't be perfect by the commandments. We can all be made perfect through the messiah but this does go to show that if we had kept the commandments, we would be righteous. Now, some say isn't that Deuteronomy 6:25? Wasn't he talking to the Jews there? He wasn't talking to the Gentiles. Well, he was talking to both Jews and Gentiles
both.
He was talking to both of them. Exodus 12:37, look who came out of Egypt. When the children of Israel journey from Rameses to Succoth about 600,000 men on foot besides children, a mixed multitude went up with them also in flocks and herds a great deal of livestock. A mixed multitude, Gentiles. Gentiles joined them. Leviticus 16:29 says this will be a statute forever for you in the seventh month on the 10th day of the month talking about Yom Kippur or David . . . you shall afflict your souls and do no work at all whether native or of your own country or a stranger who dwells among you, it doesn't matter, you do it. You keep it.
In Exodus 23:12 says in six days you shall do your
work and on the 7th day you shall rest that your ox and your donkey may rest and the son of your female servant and the stranger may be refreshed. The Sabbath was for a foreigner also. Leviticus 24:22, you shall have the same law for the stranger and one for one from your own country for I am Yahweh your mighty one. The same law, the same command, the same Torah for both Jew and Gentile.
In fact, Gentiles were bringing sacrifices to the
altar numbers 15 and 14, if a stranger dwells with you or is among throughout your generations and when present an offering made by fire a sweet aroma to Yahweh just as you do so shall he do. One ordinance shall be for you of the assembly and for the stranger who dwells with you, an ordinance for every throughout your generations as you are so shall the stranger be before Yahweh. No difference, no difference whatsoever. He said so. The law of Yahweh was not just for the Jewish people, it was also for the Gentile who was among them, who visited them wherever, it is for both Jews and Gentiles. That's what Yahweh's word says, no way around it. You cannot get around, one law.
Deuteronomy 6:25, it will be righteousness for us if
we are careful to observe all these commandments before Yahweh or ... as he has commanded us. He's talking about Jews and Gentiles both. You see the law inform the world of the righteous standard Yahweh has for men. If one wanted to walk in righteousness, he would keep the commandments and the law whether they're Jew or Gentile. That's because his word is his law and his word is righteous. Psalm 119 and 123, my eyes fail from seeking your salvation and your righteous word. My tongue, Psalm 119, 172, my tongue shall speak of your word for all your commandments are righteousness and on that verse 160, your word is true from the beginning and everyone of your righteous judgments endures forever every one forever.
Yahushua agreed with this.
He said John 17:17, sanctify them through your truth. Your word is truth. There was no New Testament when Yahushua said this. Yahweh's commandments are part of his word and Yahweh's word sanctifies us, causes us to be holy, causes us to walk in righteousness because when we obey Yahweh's commandments we begin to be more and more set apart, more and more holy and righteous before Yahweh but some people think only certain parts are true and righteous, other parts are optional or moldable choice.
Because when I point to something that is in the
so called Old Testament as being a scripture that will backup my belief, I'll often hear the words, that's just the Old Testament.
Yahushua said it's all truth.
It's the standard of righteousness for all of us. Luke 1:5-6 says there was in the days of Herod, the king of Judea, a certain priest named Zacharias at the division of ... his wife was of the daughters of Aaron, her name was Elizabeth and they were both righteous before Elohim walking in all the commandments and ordinances of Yahweh blameless. It doesn't mean they never made a mistake in their life, simply mean that they were not to be blamed because where they had messed up or made a mistake, they were forgiven.
They were walking in the truth and we also oath to
walk in the truth. Keeping Yahweh's law, his Torah and living righteously, they're all synonymous from the time of Noah all the way down to the time of messiah. We see that very clearly, I hope and it doesn't matter whether you're a Gentile or you're an Israelite, it's still the righteous standard for men. To violate one of those commandments is to sin. Now, it can be certain that the scriptures teach
the opposite of righteousness is what?
Unrighteousness and the opposite of righteousness is sin. In Romans 6:16, says do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you were that one slaves to whom you obey whether of sin leading to death or obedience leading to righteousness. So there's sin which is disobedience and there's righteousness which is obedience. Sin leaves to death, obedience leads to righteousness. Now the scripture says in 1 John 5:17, all unrighteousness is sin and there is sin not leading to death but he's making the point, all unrighteousness is sin. There's no difference between saying he's unrighteous and he's sinning, right? No difference, I'm getting to the basics here because I'm going to build upon it something very important that we need to understand. That's this, 1 John3:4-7, whoever commits sin, transgresses also the law for sin is the transgression of the law. Now, everything I have said has made perfect sense. When you disobey the law and you're living in the time before messiah died, you are sinning. You're transgressing the law and here is a time after messiah died and he's saying the same thing. Whoever commits a sin transgresses the law for sins of transgression of the law and therefore if you're sinning you're not walking in righteousness. Obedience to the law is righteousness, wouldn't transgression of the law be unrighteousness or sin? Absolutely and so verse 5, he said and you know that he Yahushua was manifested to take away our sins and in him there is no sin. He was manifested, take away our transgressions of the law.
Whoever abides in him does not sin.
Whoever sins has neither sin him or known him. Whoever abides in him does not transgress the law.
If you continue on transgressing the law, he
says you've never seen him or known him. For the children that no one to see that he who practices righteousness is righteous just as he is righteous.
He who sins of the devil for the devil has sinned
from the beginning for this purpose of son of Elohim was manifested that he might destroy the works of the devil. Whoever has been born of Elohim does not sin for his seed remains in him and he cannot sin because he's been born of Elohim. In this, the children of Elohim and children of the devil are manifest whoever does not practice righteousness is not of Elohim nor is who does not love his brother. We're getting back to the extreme basics here, the very foundation is so simple and so easy. Sometimes we don't see the forest because the trees are in the way. The very definition of sin and unrighteousness is
violating one of those commandments and the law,
that law that was given to both Jews and Gentiles.
If whoever transgresses the law we're talking
about willful ongoing transgression is of the devil, they're not repining. Now, some of us are ignorant, we don't realize that we're supposed to do certain things and I think Yahweh can overlook our ignorance and our blindness. But everything is simple. There's nothing confusing here about in our theology. It's consistent from Genesis through Revelation. There's not like some things taken away and some things tossed out and some things not. Sort of like a smorgasbord, kind of pick what you want and pick what you don't want and it doesn't work that way. It's very simple. You violate the commandments in the law and you're committing a sin. You transgress the law and you're committing a sin. It's that simple. Now, if you start listening to modern day preachers on the issue, that's where the confusion starts. If you just look at the scriptures, it's very simple. Romans 2:17, it says indeed you're called a Jew and the rest on the law make your boast in Elohim and know his will. How do you know his will? Because you got the Torah, you got the law it tells you what his will is.
You can approve the things that are excellent being
instructed out of the law. Now, if this was no longer true, then why did Paul say this? He has a saying, you knew the things that used to be his will. You know things that used to approve that were excellent but not anymore but it's not what he said.
He said you know his will, you approve the things
that are excellent and you're confident you yourself are a guide to the blind, a light to those on darkness and structure of the foolish, teacher of babes, having the form of knowledge in truth in the law. He acknowledge the Jewish people have this part right. He said after that so don't dishonor Yahweh by breaking those laws. The Gentiles by in large in the first century were ignorant of Yahweh's law and therefore they were in darkness. Paul said that those who were familiar with Yahweh's law know his will, approve the things that are excellent, they're instructor of the foolish, a teacher of babes, a light and guide to the blind, a light to those who are in darkness being instructed out of the law. When the Jews would teach the commandments in the law and Yahweh said you shall have the same law for the stranger and one for your own country. The Gentiles who heard the knowledgeable Jewish person would then learn the way of righteousness and would know his will, approve the things that are excellent being instructed out of the law. That simple, nothing confusing.
Now, if certain commandments are Jews
only, you all stay away, Jews only, please tell me who gets to decide which commandments are Jewish and which commandments aren't? What makes the command that keep the Sabbath or other select parts of Yahweh's law of Jewish while the command to honor your parents or refraining from adultery, that's not Jewish? How do you decide what's Jewish and what's not Jewish even if you're trying to go that way? You just have to basically pick and choose, have yet to get a real answer from somebody on that question but the Sabbath, the feast day, the clean the unclean, people also see that with Judaism only.
But we saw in Genesis 7, Yahweh said to Noah, come
to the ark, you and your household because I've seen you're righteous before me and this generation. Take seven of each in every clean animal, males and it's female. Two of each of animals that are unclean, male and it's female. There is clean and unclean long before there is ever a Jewish man on the earth. The concept of clean the unclean couldn't possible had come out of some Jewish law because Noah, a man who existed centuries before there was a Jewish man or an Israelite, he was righteous and he knew about the clean and the unclean. Obviously, the Sabbath was established of creation, Yahweh created the animals, he distinguished them saying those who have claw and hoes into the cog, they are clean to eat. It so happens that they're all vegetarians.
He knows what's good for our bodies and what isn't
good for our bodies. He didn't say this is good for a Jewish body but he said this is bad for a Jewish body but the Gentile body, it's okay, he never said that. When Yahweh says all the Jewish need to rest, they need one, they need a break once a week, Gentiles you can go ahead and work seven days until you fall over and die. No. What's true about Jewish is just as true about all of us, we all need to rest, we all need to eat healthy, we all need to hear Yahweh's commandments and as far as the sacrifices, that's not a Jewish idea either. Noah built an altar to Yahweh in Genesis 8, took a very clean animal, every clean bird and offered burnt offerings. It's not a Jewish idea, not something only given to the Jewish people. Sacrifices were there going all the way back to the time of Abel when he gave one of his sheep out of his flock to Yahweh, he gave the first lings of his flock. It's just that yes, he didn't establish a tabernacle and he didn't establish a priesthood on the earth to Levites and they are the ones appointed to do all the sacrificing. He wanted to keep everything centrally located and partly probably because he wanted to manifest who Yahushua was going to be and this whole picture of the tabernacle and all these things were pointing to the messiah. This is not all Jewish stuff, it's all Yahweh stuff and the seventh day was set apart at creation.
He blessed the seventh day, sanctified it there
in verse three, it's not a Jewish thing. It goes all the way back 2,500 years before there was ever a Jewish man. No, or 2,000 years before there was a Jewish man. The day was sanctified, I mean think about this. People have this mentality that when Yahushua came into the way of the Sabbath Day, he establishes a creation, nobody does anything with it for 2,000 years and finally, in 2,500 years he
commands the Jewish people to keep the Sabbath Day
and then they keep it for 1,500 years or so and the messiah comes and does the way with it.
Now, it doesn't make any sense to me.
He's going to play peek a boo with the Sabbath. I mean it makes much more sense to me and he can establish a creation, we're created in his image, we walk as we do the things he did, we work six days, we rest at the seventh like he did and that was a consistent pattern Yahweh established from the very beginning and that's what we're supposed to do, he is our example. In fact Yahushua said in Mark that the Sabbath was made for men not just for Jews but the Sabbath was made for men. It wasn't a new thing.
Look at in Nehemiah 9:13, he said you came down also
on Mount Sinai and spoke with him from heaven and gave them just ordinances and true laws, good statutes and commandments. You made known to them your holy Sabbath and commanded them precept statutes and laws by the hand of Moses, your servant. He made known to them his Sabbath.
They didn't know it before but he made known to them
his Sabbath. It was already there, already existed, he just made it known to them. They've been in slavery for so long, they forgot about it. Exodus 31, he says therefore the children of
Israel shall keep the Sabbath, throws service at
the Sabbath throughout their generations as a perpetual covenant. It is a sign between me and the children of Israel forever for in six days made the heavens and the earth, on the seventh day he rested and was refreshed. Some people are going, "Aha." See, Tom that was a sign between Yahweh and the Jews.
We don't have to do it.
It's true that the old covenant was made between
Israel and Yahweh.
A covenant is an agreement. Yahweh would allow the children of Israel to remain in the land of Canaan if they would keep the laws and commandments that he gave. If they would disobey the laws and commandments, they would be defeated by their enemies and they would be removed from the land and that's what happened. They disobeyed him, they removed him from their land. Now, the agreement was you keep my word, you'll be in
the land.
That's what the covenant was. Yes, the laws were part of that covenant but the actual agreement was you keep my laws, I'll let you stay in the land. He's not saying only you need to keep the laws and everybody else can disobey them. It's okay if they disobeyed because I'm not giving them to anybody else but you, he's saying this is my righteous standard and if you the children of Abraham, if you remain, if you will obey my righteous standards I will allow you to live in this land forever. It's different. Look at Romans 3:19, we know whatever the law says. It says to those who are under law that every mouth may be stopped and all the world may become guilty before Elohim. Now, how can every mouth be stopped and the whole world be guilty before Elohim unless the law was for everybody. In fact, unless the law was for everyone, nobody would even see the need for a savior. Why you need somebody to die for you? No laws have been given to you yet. You're sinless. You've never transgressed anything. You don't need Yahushua to die for you because you don't have any laws to feed us, it's all just Jewish laws. Because that old covenant was for the Jews, they say you don't have to concern yourself with all those Old Testament laws. It doesn't make any sense to me.
Yahweh is simply giving us righteous standard and the
agreement was you keep this righteous standard, you'll be in the land. As far as the Gentiles are concerned it's still their righteous standard. It's just he made an agreement if you keep my righteous standard I'll let you be in the land. It's the land of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. To the rest of us it's still his righteous standard and if you violate it, you're guilty. You're guilty before Elohim he says. You're guilty.
All the world is guilty.
Every mouth is stopped. Besides that if you reject the Sabbath on the basis,
it's an old covenant precept given to the
Jewish people. It's an old covenant thing and it's only for the Jews. You're going to hit a major roadblock when you run in to the scripture right here. Hebrews 8:8 says behold the days are coming says Yahweh when I will make a new covenant with who? The Gentiles?
You say you're a New Testament church, who's
the new covenant with? The house of Israel and the house of Judah. This is a new covenant with you. The house of Israel and the house of Judah, do you hear that? The house of Israel and the house of Judah.
Ultimately because you have joined yourself to
Do you believe that? The whole covenant is with you?
Israel through Yahushua Hamashiach, we're going to
get to that in a minute. But the new covenant, he says he's going to make is with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah. Remember that. If you separate yourself from the old covenant on the basis that's not for me, you must also separate yourself from the new covenant and say that's not for me either, that's for the Jews.
You can't have and not the other.
You have to go with one way or the ... you can't speak out of both sides of your mouth and say I reject the Old Testament. The Old Testament, that's for the Jews and then you look at the new covenant and you see who it's with, it's with Israel and with Judah. It doesn't even mention Gentiles.
It says not according to the covenant that I made
with their fathers and the day I took them by the
hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt because
he'd not continue and my covenant and I disregarded them says Yahweh. Their fathers, he's talking to Israel here. This whole New Testament, this whole new covenant is with Israel and with Judah. Who's Yahweh making a covenant with? Israel and Judah, no way around it. All those people say all is Jewish, that's Old Testament, that's old covenant. You guys say, you know what? All those new covenant stuff is Jewish, is with Israel is with Judah. You can't have one and ignore the other for this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days says Yahweh, I will put my laws in their mind, my laws, what laws? The laws he gave at Sinai and beyond and write them on their hearts and I will be their Elohim and they shall be my people. He's talking about Israel.
How do we join in if we're Gentiles?

How can we get there from here?
He's quoting from Jeremiah the prophet here.
He's quoting from Jeremiah the prophet, he says

behold the days are coming says Yahweh, Jeremiah
31:31, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel with the house of Judah not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers and the day I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt, my covenant would stay broke though I was a husband to them says Yahweh but this is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after those days says Yahweh. I will put my law in their minds and write it on their hearts. I will be their mighty one, they shall be my people.
Beautiful covenant, I'd say.
He's going to empower us. If you say you don't keep the Sabbath though it's a sign between Israel and Judah and Yahweh and I don't keep the old covenant, that's with the Jews by the same logic, you've just removed yourself from the new covenant and you can't be the "New Testament Church" anymore.
Now, how do you get to be a part of the new covenant
and not be of Israel and Judah? How do you get there? I'll tell you how you get there. Galatians 3:29 says if you are messiahs then you are Abraham's seed, you are Abraham's seed and airs according to the promise. You hear this? Read this again, you who believe in messiah Yahushua, you are Abraham's seed.
How'd you get there?
We were created in Yahweh's righteous image but our father in the flesh, Adam, he sinned. At that moment there was no longer man walking in the image of Yahweh because Yahweh does not sin. He always loves and therefore the Adam man must die as Yahweh said, you will surely die. When we received Yahushua the messiah, we are according to scripture a new creation. Scripture says therefore if any man is in messiah, he is a new creature. The old things have passed away, behold new things have come. It's no longer the Adam man who lives. It is the messiah Yahushua who lives in us.
Galatians 2:20 says I've been crucified with
messiah, it's no longer why he lived in the silos in me and the life which I now live, I live by faith in the son of Elohim who love me and gave himself for me. If you are messiahs you are Abraham's seed and you are a part of the body of the messiah and that's why
it's important to remember he is Jewish.
He is of Israel, remember that. He is an Israelite. We're all the apostles, they were all Jewish, all of them were Jewish. Just so you know that, Romans 1:1, Paul a bond-servant Yahushua messiah called to be an apostle separate to the good news of Elohim which he promised before through his prophets in the holy scriptures concerning his son Yahushua messiah our master who is born of the sea of David.
David is a Jews.
David was Jewish. He's of this tribe of Judah from which we get the term Jew. Yahushua was from the ... day a Jewish man according to flesh so he's no longer we who lives, it's now Yahushua living in you. Guess what you are? You're Jewish, you're Israel through him. You are Abraham's sea. We have disavowed actually our heritage in the flesh and now become adopted sons and daughters of Yahweh through the Israelite man Yahushua Hamashiach and we are now Israel through Yahushua we are now involved and now we are one of the parties named in the new covenant. That's what Israel and with Judah. Now some people would tell you we're just Abraham's seed. We're not Jewish. We're not Israel. We're Abraham's seed. How can you say that? Really, I mean how can you say you're Abraham's seed and not you're Israel? Scripture says by faith, Abraham when he was tested offered up Isaac and he would receive the promise, he has offered his only begotten son of whom it was said in Isaac your seed shall be called. Abraham's seed was called through Isaac. It was Isaac's sons. He had Esau. He had Jacob. We all Yahweh hated Esau. He loved Isaac or he loved Jacob, right? Romans 9:13, Jacob I've loved, Esau I've hated. The line does not go through Esau, it goes through Jacob and who is Jacob? Genesis 32:28 says your name shall no longer be called Jacob but Israel. But he have struggled with Elohim and with many that prevailed. The seed of Abraham continues through Jacob or Jacob's name is changed to Israel and so we need to understand, we become Israel through Yahushue Hamaschiach we become the seed of Abraham through him. The savior, the seed of Abraham and to say that you are Jewish or you are an Israel, it's really all one and the same and that's why the New Testament says in Ephesians, it says therefore remember that you once Gentiles in the flesh indicating that one time you w ere Gentiles in the flesh, you were called uncircumcisioned by what's called the circumcision made in the flesh by hands and that time what time when you were Gentiles in the flesh, you were without messiah being aliens, strangers from the commonwealth of Israel. Strangers from the covenants of promise having no hope and without Elohim and the world, the covenant has promised that includes a new covenant
but now a messiah Yahushua you who once were far off
have been brought near by the blood of messiah and near to what? To what? The commonwealth of Israel. Now you who were once were gentiles, you who once were far off, you who once were strangers from the covenant has promise and now through the messiah Yahushua in his blood you were brought near. You got to understand who you are. This is your new identity in Yahushua Hamashiach. Your new identity is you're no longer a Gentile. If you say you're still a Gentile you're denying the work of what messiah has done for you.
You're ignoring the thing he did for you and that
was bring you near the commonwealth of Israel. You're no longer a stranger from this new covenant, this covenant of promises, the covenant he made with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Now, by the blood of messiah, you who once were far off, once were Gentiles, once Gentile, once far off, now have been brought near by the blood of the messiah.
Makes perfect sense, no confusion because you die
and your life is hid with messiah and Elohim. When you read Exodus 31:17 says it's a sign between me and children of Israel forever. That's you between Yahweh and between you, you are now adopted into and grafted into the nation of Israel. But even so if you want to still deny that whole thing I just said, the Sabbath wasn't just for Jews. Isaiah 56, blessed is the man who does this and the son of man who lays hold on it who keeps from defiling the Sabbath and keeps hand from doing any evil.
Do not let the son of the foreigner who has joined
himself to Yahweh speak saying Yahweh is utterly separated me from his people. Don't even say it. You join yourself to Yahweh he accepts you and if you're Eunuch. Eunuch says here I am a dry tree for thus says Yahweh to the Eunuchs who keep my Sabbaths and chose what pleases me and hold fast my covenant.
Even to them I would give them my house and within
my walls they place and they name better than that of sons and daughters. I will give them everlasting name that shall not be cut off. Look at verse 6. Also the sons of the foreigner who joined themselves to Yahweh to serve him and to love the name of Yahweh, he'd rename to be his servants everyone who keeps from defiling the Sabbath and holds fast my covenant even to them. Even them I will bring, Even them I will bring my holy mountain, everyone who keeps from defiling the Sabbath. In fact he said you can bring your burnt offerings, you can bring your sacrifices and I'll accept in my altar, my house will be called the house of prayer for all nations. Yahushua quoted that part right there. He's talking about Gentiles keeping the Sabbath. When he quoted this right here house prayer for all nations, he's quoting the scripture talking about the Gentiles coming and keeping Sabbath and bringing sacrifices and offerings and that Yahweh would accept them and that they would be accepted just as Israel was accepted. It is a mistake to say the Sabbath was only for the
Jewish people.
Because when Yahushua quoted this, what's he talking about? Look at the context of what he's talking about. Very important, always look things up. You see an Old Testament verse being quoted, look it up. See what it says, find some really neat things that way. Here's another one. In the future Isaiah 66:24 for as the new heavens and new earth which I will make shall remain before me says Yahweh so shall your descendants and your name remain and it's new heavens and new earth and it shall come to pass from one new moon to another, form one Sabbath to another all flesh shall come to worship before me. He didn't say all Jews he said all flesh shall come
worship before me.
When? On the Sabbath and on the new moon days, all flesh.
Now, if the Sabbath was only meant for Jews and
the new moon is only meant for Jews, why is all flesh one day going to worship him on those days? Pray tell and they shall go forth and look upon the corpses of men who've transgressed against me for their warmth does not die and their fire is not quenched. They shall bring abhorrence to all flesh.
Talking about the transgressors, the
transgressors of Yahweh's law.
Yahushua quoted this one time.
He said Mark 43, if your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter into life maimed rather than having two hands to go to hell into the fire that shall never be quenched where their warmth does not die and the fire is not quenched.
Where their warmth does not die and their fire is
not quenched who transgressed my laws.
Here is two of the laws.

He has established the new moon days.
He has established the Sabbath day and all flesh will come and worship before him. This is the future time. It happens in the new earth happening here, future time. Even the New Testament times here we see so called Gentiles, what are they doing? What are they doing here in Acts 18? Paul is in a synagogue every Sabbath persuading both Jews and Greeks. Why are they in the synagogue?
They were there keeping Sabbath.
Acts 15:19, therefore I judge that we should not trouble those Gentiles who are turning to Elohim but we write to them to disdain from things ... by idols from sexual immorality from things strangled in from blood and see people ... that's just the only laws, the only Jewish laws we need to keep. Wrong, these aren't even Jewish laws to begin with. Since when is sexual immorality is a Jewish law? Or drinking blood, things strangled in from blood, that was established in Genesis 9 says do not eat the blood with the meat. Since when is refraining from idol is a Jewish thing, it's for everybody. For Moses has had throughout many generations those who preach him in every city being read in the synagogues every Sabbath, the expectation was if you refrain from these necessary things here and when you come down here and you hear the law being thought, you will know what to do from there. But if you do these necessary things we will accept you and we will regard as among the brotherhood and that the expectation you are going to do more things after that when you read Paul's letters. All kinds of things he's telling the Gentiles to do this, not among these four things.
Take a look at this.

James Chapter 2 Verse 2, For if there come unto
your assembly, assembly is form the Greek word 48:64 [ph], "sunagoge," from which we get the word synagogue, if they should come into your synagogue a man with gold rings, fine apparel and also come in a poor man in filthy clothes and you, hopefully you know the rest of the story there, what I'm pointing out is talking about people coming into the synagogues.
55 out 57 times this Greek word, "synagoge," is
translated as synagogue. Only in this place is it suddenly, no it's assembly it's not synagogue, of course not synagogue, they'd be keeping the Sabbath then, seventh day of the week and we don't want the people to think that so, we're going to change, we're not going to translate this word here assembly as synagogue. We're going to translate it something different.
And the only other time you find this word
translated different is here, it says when the Jews went out of synagogue, Acts 13:42, the gentiles begged that this words might be preached to them the next Sabbath. Now why didn't he say, well we got Sunday church services going on tomorrow, come on out.
No, Gentiles, oh okay.
You don't keep Sabbath what are you doing here anyway? What are you doing here in the synagogue? This Sabbath is not for you guys, he never said any of that. But when the synagogue or the assembly, the synagogue had broken up, made the Jews and [indiscernible 1:01:56] both Paul and Barnabas who speaking then persuade them to continue in the grace of Elohim, if you keep reading it says the whole city gathered together in the synagogue the following Sabbath.
So why did they not tell us, this is synagogue
here. Why didn't they tell us that? It hides the fact that Yahweh's people were gathering on a Sabbath, even in the first century after the Messiah had died for our sins and they don't want you to think that or they don't think that themselves and so they think well it has to be translated to something different than synagogue, don't want to confuse the people after all. How did this all start this [indiscernible 1:02:50] this is only for the Jews, you can't find it in scripture.
You can find it in church history, you can find it
in church history. There is a tremendous amount of anti Semitism, anti Jewish anything in church history. Look at Constantine and what he had to say here.
Eusebius quoting Constantine, he says, "Let
us then have nothing in common with the Jews who are our adversaries," another quote, "we may no
more have anything in common with those who,
those parasites and murders of our Lord no single point in common with the perjury of the Jews." No single point in common, not even the same Elohim? Not even the same laws? Not even the same Sabbath, they intentionally willfully, they wanted to get away from looking anything like a Jewish person, they hated them, they're adversaries. Calling them murders of our master, wanting no single point in common.
Here's another person you may not know about this, I
don't know some of you may know this quote, but take a look here at this quote.
According to this particular gentlemen, he
says, Jews are venomous beast, vipers, disgusting scum, [indiscernible 1:04:34], devils incarnate. Their private houses must be destroyed and devastated. They could be lodged in stables, let the magistrates burn their synagogues and let whatever escapes be covered with sand and mud. Let them force to work and if this avails nothing we will be compelled to expel them like dogs, in order to not expose ourselves to incurring divine wrath and eternal damnation from the Jews and their lies. We are at fault in not slaying them, rather we allow them to live freely in our midst, who said this? Obviously a Jew hater, antisemite, who was the author of these words?
A man by the name of Martin Luther who wrote a
book called, The Jews and Their Lies, 15:43. This book was widely circulated by Nazis and frequently used as justifications for Jewish persecution in Germany. With such attitudes from supposed Christians like Martin Luther, who had tremendous amount of power and influence, who was often called the father of Protestant Christianity. Is it any wonder the Gentile believers in Messiah would not embrace things like Sabbath keeping and [indiscernible 1:06:16] keeping and eating clean and other such things from the Torah and let Christian Theology be dictated by their ideology.
Modern theology and its rejection of certain
commandments on the basis it was only given to the Jews was developed out of an ideology of wanting to have nothing in common with the Jewish people. It is man who made such a division not our Heavenly Father Yahweh. It is man who does not want to embrace our true identity as having joined ourself to the commonwealth of Israel through the Messiah Yahshua, many want to cleave and receive the promises given to Israel but they don't want the obligations. One obligation is to keep the Sabbath Day holy.
In scripture Yahweh chose the people for Himself.
The children of Abraham were chosen because of Abraham's faithfulness. They were chosen to be the light to all nations and through Abraham's seed all nations will be blessed. We know Israel is geographically situated as a gateway between three continents.
Those who were in Europe who wanted to trade with
those in Africa, they had to go through Israel by land. Those who were in the Middle East in the Eastern and all of Asia who wanted to trade with African nations had to go through Israel and those who wanted, who in the southern part of Asia who wanted to travel through would go through Israel as well. And so, people were traveling through and Yahweh wanted Israel to be that light to all nations and we know of course Israel failed to be that light it's true. But then there rose a man who would be that light Yahweh desired, He would be that ultimate example of Israel. Yahshua Hamashiach, look at what the Prophet say in Isaiah 49, he says, Listen O coastlands to Me and take heed, you people from afar, Yahweh has called me from the womb, from the matrix of my mother He's made mention of my name. And He has made my mouth like a sharp sword." This is talking about the Messiah here, in the shadow of His hand He has hidden me and made me a polished shaft. In His quiver He has hidden me. And He said to my, you are my servant oh Israel, in whom I will be glorified. Now this is definitely talking about the Messiah and yet He is calling the Messiah Israel, Israel. In Him, I'll be glorified, then I said, 1:09:20 I had spent my strength for nothing and in vain, yes surely in my just reward is with Yahweh and my work with my mighty one. Now Yahweh says, who formed me from the womb to be His, this is a suffering servant here. To bring Jacob back to Him, so that Israel is gathered to Him, for I shall be glorious in the eyes of Yahweh and my mighty one shall be my strength and [indiscernible 1:09:50] says, it is too small thing that you should be my servant to raise at the tribes of Jacob. If he's talking about the Israelite nation here, who was the servant who was being distinguished from Israelite nation?
Because there is a specific servant who is
called Israel because he is an Israelite who is bringing Jacob back to Him, who was gathering Israel to Yahweh once again, and not only that, not only will he raise up the tribes of Jacob and restore the preserved ones of Israel. It says, I will also give you as a light to the Gentiles that you, who, Yahshua Hamashiach should be my salvation to the ends of the earth.
So He is called Isreal, Yahshua is called Israel,
He's called Israel. And he will restore the elect of Israel but he will also be the light of the Gentiles that Yahshsua would be Yahweh's salvation to the ends of
the earth that's why he's called Yahshua, Yahshua
means Yahweh is salvation. Because Yahweh's goal wasn't just to bring salvation to the Gentiles or just to the Jews, He wanted all the human race to be saved through this servant who was formed from the womb to be His servant. Yahshua Hamashiach the Messhiah. Yahshuah is the light and we are the light of the world and that's why we are, if He lives in us it's no longer we who live and we're now a part of His body, we are that Israel He is speaking of here.
Yahshua is in us and we are the light of the
world, that's one reason why we're scattered so the good news may be claimed to all nations. Israel, Yahshua Hamashiach the Israelite, Israel dwells in us and so why don't we live like Israel? If Israel dwells in us why don't we live like Israel was called the lift and stop saying you're a Gentile, stop it. Stop saying you're a Gentile because you're not you're Israel.
No longer strangers and foreigners, no longer.
No longer strangers and foreigners, fellow citizens, according to Ephesians 2:19 no longer strangers and foreigners.
Once Gentiles in the flesh, let's take a look
at Zechariah 14, verse 16 through 19, so it shall come to pass that everyone who was left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem, Armageddon.
Everyone that's left of all the Gentiles who came
against Jerusalem shall go up from year to year to worship the king Yahweh of host and to do what? To keep the Feast of Tabernacles and it shall be that whichever of the families of the earth do not come up to Jerusalem to worship the king, Yahweh of host on then there will be no rain.
I praise Yahweh for the rain or the Feast of
Tabernacles we hosted this year. Hallelujah. Now look at this Gentiles, going up to keep the Feast Days. If the family of Egypt, Egyptians will not come up enter in, they shall have no rain, they shall receive the plague with which Yahweh strikes the nations of Gentiles who do not come up to keep the feast, Tabernacles, this shall be the punishments of Egypt and the punishment of all the nations that do not come up to keep the Feast of Tabernacles. Now if that's intended to be just a feast for the Jews then why is it going to happen one day that every nation must come up and keep this feast, Jew or Gentile when Yahweh's will is finally done on earth as it is on heaven. We've been praying for Yahweh Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven when His will is finally done on earth as it is in heaven the entire planet is keeping the Feast of Tabernacles. What is his will for you on the earth? Is to keep the Feast of Tabernacles and we hosted the Feast of Tabernacles here in Missouri this year, it wasn't even a week and a half ago and there were 480 some people coming and joining us in Steelville, Missouri to keep the Feast of Tabernacles because we see that one day the whole world's going to have to keep it and if we're going to be rulers in the age to come, don't we need at least know the rules? If we're going to be rulers in the ages to come we need to be following the rules ourselves. Is the law Jewish? It's Jewish, it's Gentileish, it's everything-ish, it's man-ish. Is there such a word as man-ish? It's for everybody, hallelujah and it's beautiful and it all points to the Messiah. All points to play in Salvation. Passover, He is our lamb, Pentecost the Holy Spirit is given. Feast of Trumpets, Yahshua comes down, sound of a trumpet, voice of an Archangel and with a shout, he becomes our atonement, day of atonement and we eat Tabernacle with Yahweh forever and there's so many things in these feast days that glorify the Messiah and that's why the whole world's going to be keeping it. [indiscernible 1:16:07] is this idea where you cancel this, you don't cancel that, you pick and chose here or there. It was burking religion have it your way, no let's have it Yahweh's way. But people were afraid, they misunderstand relations, they think you keep the feast, you're denying the faith in some way, no you're glorifying Him.
Those who ware dwelling in the belief that they are
not Jewish, keep the Jewish commandments are the ones who are focusing on the flesh, I'm not Jewish. My flesh, I'm a Gentile.
We're not focusing on the flesh by keeping the
commandments. We're giving thanks to Yahweh for enabling us to be a part of the nation of Israel and we're keeping the commandments that we're given to us and given to everybody. Think about this for a minute, let's suppose they were commands that were only for the Jewish people, let's just suppose it was. You're not Jewish you think, but how do you know
somewhere you got your dad, your grandpa, you got
your great grandpa, your great, great, great, great, great, great somewhere, what if there was one Israelite somewhere in your genealogical table, guess what? That commandment was for you, you didn't even know it you're guilty now. What are you going to do? See how ridiculous this sounds, one Jew drops out of your family tree and now you got a whole new set of laws you're going to follow. No, there is one Jew we are connected to right
now.
We are adopted into a family and that Jew is Yahshua the Messiah. 1 John 2:1 says, my little children these things I write to you so that you may not sin, you not transgress the law. If anyone sins, anybody transgresses the law we have an advocate with the Father Yahshua Messiah the righteous. And He Himself is a perpetuation for our sins and not for ours only but also for the whole world, so the whole world's guilty of transgressing Yahweh's law because the law is for everybody. Now by this we know that we know Him. If we keep His commandments, He says I know Him and does not keep His commandments is a liar and the truth is not in Him. What are Yahshua's commandments? They do it the old law, Matthew 5:17 it says, don't even think I came to destroy, don't even think I came to destroy the law. I came not to destroy but to fulfill, that means I came to do it, I told my son, bring me a glass of water, he brought me a glass of water, he fulfilled my commitment. Doesn't the New Testament say, fulfill the law by walking in love? Every single commandment, the Sabbath Day, the Feast Days, the Clean, the Unclean is all love. We love Yahweh, we will honor His -- immortalize His creation by keeping the Sabbath Day. If we love Yahweh we'll memorialize the plan of salvation and the Messiah through keeping the Feast Days. If we love Yahweh we will love the temple, our bodies, the Holy Spirit and we will keep the temples from being defiled by unclean things.
And Yahshua wasn't just the word, in Matthew,
Mark, Luke and John, He was the word in Genesis, He was the word in Exodus, Deuteronomy, Leviticus, it's all His commandments.
It says, I know Him but does not keep His
commandments is a liar and the truth is not in Him. But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of Elohim is perfected in him by this we know that we are in Him. He who says, he abides in the Messiah of himself also to walk just as He walked, just as He walked,
just as He walked.
How did He walk? How Yahshua walk? WWYD.
You cannot say out of one side of your mouth that
you walk like Messiah did and then break the Sabbath Day and break the Feast Days and do these other things that you think [indiscernible 1:20:56], you think Theology is justifying the cancellation of, it's very simple. You can't say out of the one side of your mouth you can ignore the Sabbath and then say you're walking as He walked. He did keep the Sabbath, He kept it properly. They were overdoing it in the first century. You can't say out of one side of your mouth you've walked as He walk and then violate anything in the Torah. And then say, well I walked as He walked, no you don't. He is the same yesterday, today and forever, He never changes. Yahshua the Messiah, the same yesterday, today and forever, what He did yesterday we read in the Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. He wants to do today in us, manifesting His life to the whole world and we will all do forever as we read in Zachariah and Isaiah, keeping the Sabbath, the Feast Day all these things.
So what we really need to do is look at Yahshua's
life and emulate it and then we will be Israel like he is. We'll manifest what Israelite is supposed to be. And through it all, He gets the credit because
it's not we who do it, it's he who is doing it in
us if we will only let Him.
If we will only let Him.

I say we let Him, His spirit of truth and love
and righteousness will abide in us forever and be the complete picture of Yahshua the Messiah, the one who loved His enemies, the one who gave His life and laid down His life for His brothers and sisters. The one who, who loved those who didn't love Him. The one who walked in love and joy and peace and goodness and kindness and gentleness and faithfulness and self control and the one who kept the Shabbat, the Sabbath, the festivals,
kept His body clean or the tassels, He did the whole
thing. He kept every command that Yahweh gave in His scripture. Because He understood, man does not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds out of Yahweh's mouth. Let's walk as He walked and let's pray. Yahweh we thank you for your word. Your word is so plain and so clear and so easy to understand even a child can understand it.
Yahweh I pray the study would enlighten the eyes
of many and that many would turn away from
traditional theology which was birth in the
anti-Semitic attitudes and turn toward the true doctrine from your holy word.
Knowing that it's not by our own righteousness that
we are saved, it's not by our commandment keeping that we are saved. We can't be saved by giving to the poor anymore than we can be saved by keeping the Sabbath Day.
But we can be saved if we turn away from
unrighteousness, if we repent and we receive the Messiah Yahshua Hamashiach. If we do these things, you said in your word that we would be saved, and father there are many who have, maybe watched the study or staring to have their eyes to these things and I pray they would repent for not keeping these parts of your law, for having transgressed these commandments in your law and thereby having sinned in your eyes and I pray father Yahweh you would lead them along gently, a pace they can bear. I know it's a lifestyle change, let's say blessed walk, I know it. It's a blessed walk, you've shown me so much through this. But Father we all need your grace, we all need your mercies and we thank you that we have Yahshua through Him, the perpetuation for our sins is possible, through Him forgiveness is possible, through Him we have an advocate with the Father and many times people are not doing these things because they just don't know. You still love them, they still love you, You still know them, they still know You but they didn't know. But now they know, open their eyes. To behold wondrous things out of your love, to realize there's an entire two thirds of the Bible that actually do mean something to us today. Be with them in their pursuit of righteousness and holiness, for we know that yours is the kingdom
and your kingdom includes these things.
And yours is the power, through us we have the power and yours is the glory, to you alone belongs all glory, forever and ever, forever and ever, through and by your son Yahshua Hamashiach we pray these things, through Him we have righteousness
Amen.
