{"id":3122,"date":"2024-12-05T16:13:17","date_gmt":"2024-12-05T16:13:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/eliyah.com\/light\/?p=3122"},"modified":"2024-12-05T16:13:18","modified_gmt":"2024-12-05T16:13:18","slug":"flexible-change","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/eliyah.com\/light\/2024\/12\/05\/flexible-change\/","title":{"rendered":"Flexible Change"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Sometimes I have no problem with change.<br><br>And sometimes I have a major issue with it.<br><br>One thing I have learned is that when I resist change, it\u2019s harder.<br><br>And when I am flexible, it doesn\u2019t seem that bad.<br><br>I don\u2019t mind changing me or my quirks.<br><br>I do mind when I have to change my schedule or timelines for project.<br><br>And I certainly have a problem when I have to change locations.<br><br>Still a work in progress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Personal Example<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Let\u2019s back up to this flexibility thing.<br><br>At one time, I had a huge problem with any kind of change.<br><br>How dare someone change my agenda!<br><br>I would seize up and get upset over the smallest change<br><br>And it only made it worse.<br><br>Apparently, Yahweh knew very well how much I needed to learn how to be FLEXIBLE.<br><br>So, He provided me with an abundance of \u201copportunities\u201d to practice flexibility.<br><br>I flunked them all.<br><br>Each time I got more and more upset, until He sent a messenger (thanks Mom!) who suggested that maybe Yahweh was teaching me flexibility.<br><br>HUH?! Me?! Flexible?<br><br>How about Yahweh changing the circumstances so that my agenda goes smoothly?<br><br>Not a chance.<br><br>In the end, I had to learn how to be flexible.<br><br>Not easy, but worth it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A Word Of Wisdom<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>I am learning to say, &#8220;Yah willing&#8221; or &#8220;Yahweh willing&#8221; before I verbalize my plans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is humbling to know that planning my day without Yahweh is a bad mistake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It seems that no matter what I say, it never goes my way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Well, it&#8217;s not supposed to go my way, but at least I would think that I&#8217;m including Yahweh in my plans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By saying, &#8220;Yah willing&#8221; I AM including all the possibilities that may change my plans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The last several weeks have been a rough ride as I am a slow learner in this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Finally, last night, I included the phrase &#8220;Yahweh willing&#8221; into my sentence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To boot, I put it before my plans, not after.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Flexible change is a skill for me; it hasn&#8217;t ever come naturally for me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I think, though, it&#8217;s a good skill to have.<br><br><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sometimes I have no problem with change.
