{"id":3326,"date":"2024-11-07T16:43:08","date_gmt":"2024-11-07T16:43:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/eliyah.com\/light\/?p=3326"},"modified":"2024-11-07T16:43:09","modified_gmt":"2024-11-07T16:43:09","slug":"home-sweet-home-what-a-mess","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/eliyah.com\/light\/2024\/11\/07\/home-sweet-home-what-a-mess\/","title":{"rendered":"Home Sweet Home &#8211; What A Mess!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>(Friendly reminder: This post was meant for 10-31-2024.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Well, so much for being ahead of the game and ready to move forward!<br>Last week seems so far away, like another world.<br>Last week, I had life figured out.<br>We are moving into an unfinished apartment.<br>We would take it slow.<br>I clean out the gifted-to-us-gently-used-ready-to-install kitchen cabinets (rodent initiated) and start getting the kitchen ready.<br>I will set up my office and my desktop to work on Volume 2 Issue 1.<br>We&#8217;ll take it one day at a time.<br>Ricky has some helpers for moving the big major stuff.<br>Everything will go smooth (yeah, right!)<br>We will move in and prepare for the event happening at the theater this weekend.<br>We will get the old apartment all cleaned up.<br>We will work mornings and nights.<br>Not a problem.<br><br>Do you see it?<br><br>Erev shabbat, I felt ill.<br>I ignored it. Must be dehydrated.<br>I haven&#8217;t been drinking water like I should.<br>My last full meal was at the fellowship meal, around 2 pm.<br>It went downhill from there.<br>I slept most of first day of the week (Sunday) away.<br>I had enough energy to help pack and move.<br>3rd weekday (at time of writing, Tuesday and today!), I&#8217;m weak, tired and my head hurts, so does my ear, and now my throat.<br>Not fun.<br><br>Okay, Yahweh, You got my attention!<br>What am I doing wrong?<br>What do I need to learn from this?<br><br>Are you sitting down?<br>I was trying to help Yahweh with our schedule.<br>I almost told Him what I was going to do, but He was sure to humble me quickly and remind me that as a servant of the most High, I&#8217;m to bring my plans to Him and lay them at His feet.<br>He doesn&#8217;t have a problem with my plans.<br>He does have a problem when I cut Him out of my plans.<br><br>I spent the day repenting.<br>I repented of my pride and arrogance that I had life all figured out.<br>I repented of my audacity of trying to take on more than I can handle and without Yahweh.<br>I repented of my self-reliance to get things done no matter how many obstacles I face (alone).<br>Forgive me Yahweh, for my rebellion in Yahshua&#8217;s name I pray.<br>Then I fell asleep.<br><br>I have been in and out of resting all day.<br>During my awakened times, I openly invited Yahweh and Yahshua back into my life.<br>I&#8217;ve been praying, interceding for others; praising Yahweh for the miracles and blessings He has given; counting my blessings, especially His mercy right in the midst of his correction.<br>I fall asleep again and wake up only minutes later.<br>I feel better, though not totally 100%.<br>As of right now, I&#8217;ve been awake for 2 hours.<br>That&#8217;s amazing!<br>I can&#8217;t jump to what I want to do, but at least I&#8217;m awake, and I&#8217;m submersing myself into the presence of Yahweh.<br><br>I think if I did that initially, He would have directed my week, but Self thought it could handle anything!<br><br>Apparently not.<br><br>Every so often I go through these incidents as a friendly reminder that I&#8217;m not the one in control, Yahweh is.<br>Plus, He wants to be a part of my life, in every way.<br><br>Please, don&#8217;t make the same mistake I did.<br>Involve Yahweh in every part of your life.<br>Ask Him for direction, for guidance.<br>I asked today and I had two major priorities to do &#8211; make a spice blend and send a link.<br>Though not big, it still took a lot of energy.<br>Now that I&#8217;ve accomplished those two items, I rest and I ask, &#8220;Yahweh, what is the best thing do to next?&#8221;<br>The answer He laid on my heart is to put away items in the foyer where they go and fix up the back of the theater for this weekend.<br><br>Okay. Thank You. Thank You for Your mercy. Thank You for the strength to complete that task. Thank You, Yahweh, for all that You have done for me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Entry (11\/7\/2024). <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This last week went without too much incident. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I still get tired easily, but my endurance is stretched every day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I am amazed how resilient Yahweh designed our bodies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I am astounded on how much more productive I am when I go to Yahweh and ask what to do each day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He  points out the priorities and I still have time left over.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Of course, He is the Creator of the Universe, and therefore, the best at planning any day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Blessed be the name of Yahweh.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>(Friendly reminder: This post was meant for 10-31-2024.)
