That’s right. A TENT. For those of you who know me well know what a sacrifice and struggle that was for me. You see, getting out of my comfort zone is not the place I want to be. Last year is the first year I obeyed and went to Sukkot. The first 2 years my mind frame was “Sukkot just isn’t for me, I’m not a camper.” That was until last summer when I was reading about Sukkot and heard the stern voice of my Father tell me I would go or I would suffer the consequence of disobedience. Immediately I said “Yes, Sir! I’ll be there with bells on” and I was. This year I knew that Sukkot would come to and end. It is an awfully long time to be ‘out of comfort’ if you will. That’s the idea, so I hear. This year was special, though. I took away some nuggets of truth, healing, and purpose that I need to get to this next piece of my journey. Yah is changing me and shaping me and although it is uncomfortable I am so blessed to be His daughter and to attend such an amazing feast with a truly beloved and now dear friend of mine.

Sisters I’d love to hear from you. What is Sukkot like for you? Do you whine and complain like I did? Get homesick? Tell me the parts you love and the parts you dislike.

Until next time. Shalom.

Good evening ladies! Last week I successfully committed to and completed 7 nights in a TENT. That’s right. A TENT.
