Thy Kingdom Come

Developing a Kingdom Vision | Gifts and Callings for the Kingdom

The body of Messiah is often in many ways pretty fragmented today. It is obvious that we don’t all believe exactly the same in every biblical doctrine, but I do believe that there is one thing that we all agree on: Yahweh has a created purpose for each of us, He is the King over all the earth, and we don’t get to make up our own rules. We will all be happiest if we are doing what we were created to do, and ultimately doing it under Yahweh’s leadership.

I want to start at the beginning of the bible because in many ways the first chapter of Genesis is the foundation of everything I will be sharing with you. Sometimes we look so deeply into things that we miss the big picture. I really believe that it’s important for all of us to keep looking at the big picture and not get bogged down.

Yahweh created all things and He created each creature for a specific purpose. I live on a small farm and a few years ago we went to a market and purchased some ducks. If I remember correctly, the owner of these ducks did not have a pond and so they just waddled around his property and ate seeds and bugs. We brought them home in a cage and set them at the edge of the pond, feeding them in the cage for a couple of days to get them used to being on our property. Finally the time came when I was going to set them free. I opened up the cage and whoosh, they came quickly out and started waddling in the water, dunking, splashing on themselves, and having a great old time. It was actually a pretty glorious moment. These amazing creatures of Yahweh were, in their own way, expressing the joy of doing what they were created to do.

All animals are happiest when we mimic their natural environment as much as possible and let them do what they were created to do. A few weeks ago we were selling sheep and had to corral them inside a fence to keep them from getting out. You could tell that they were stressed out and were not happy.

Brethren, I want to say that the same is true of us. Yahweh created us for a specific purpose and we are not happy unless we are doing what we were created to do. So I want to look into the first chapter of Genesis and take a look at what it says about our created purpose.

Genesis 1:26 – Then Elohim said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” 27 – So Elohim created man in His own image; in the image of Elohim He created him; male and female He created them. 28 – Then Elohim blessed them, and Elohim said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”

We see first of all that man was created in the image of Elohim. His image is a righteous image, a sinless image. An image of love. The more we are like the image of Elohim, the happier we will be.

But we see also that man was created to do something besides be in the image of Elohim. He was created to do something:

  1. Fill the earth
  2. Subdue the earth
  3. Have dominion over all the earth.
  4. Have dominion over every living thing that moves on the earth.

So the earth was created to be a place of our own personal dominion. Notice that both male and female were given this mission. It was first given to the man, and then when woman was created she joined him in the role of a “helper” in completing this mission together with him.

We get a very high level of enjoyment when we do what we were created to do. Let me give you an example from an observation I have made regarding the likes and dislikes which are common to all men.

Most people have a natural enjoyment of stories, whether they be written in a book or in a movie. Most people have a natural enjoyment of playing games.

But why do we like playing games (whether it be card games, sports games, computer games and the like)? What is it that drives men to work to utter and complete exhaustion in order to win a professional sports game, for instance?

The reason why people like games is because it fits in with the purpose for which we were created. Adam was created and given a dominion mission to subdue the earth and rule over it. People participate in games because they put them on a dominion mission, with a preset goal to accomplish, and man enjoys the challenges and rewards along the way. We were created to enjoy this. It is a very natural thing for us to enjoy it.

The same is true about stories. The reason why people like to read books and watch movies is because they are typically stories of struggle, adventure and eventually conquest containing a happy ending. They take us away from the humdrum life we live and into a world of stimulation, excitement and adventure. We were created to enjoy stories like these, because they speak of challenge, and eventually reaching the goal of happiness at the ending.

Basically, we were created to enjoy anything that sets a challenge before us, gives us a realistic goal for us to achieve, and has a reward at the end. Doing this is extremely satisfying and fulfilling as long as it is we have sufficient inspiration to complete it.

These things are self evident, and the first chapter of the bible talks about it. We enjoy challenges! Anything from fixing something that’s broken, to building something from scratch, to improving on what has already been built, to making a farm out of a forest. We were created to subdue and have dominion over anything that presents a challenge to us.

When we are doing this, we are doing what we are created to do. Now, I’m not saying that we were created to play games and read books or watch movies. What I am saying is the reason why man enjoys them is because the elements of these activities fit well with man’s created purpose. Our created purpose is subject to being perverted. Some stories, games and movies contain corrupted and destructive elements that we should want no part of.

Some men want to dominate and control others such as their family members. This is how cults get started. One man wants to have the control and he supposes that his control will result in something good. But, this is not what we were created to do. We do not “take dominion” over or “subdue” the people of Yahweh:

1 Peter 5:2- Shepherd the flock of Elohim which is among you, serving as overseers, not by compulsion but willingly, not for dishonest gain but eagerly; 3 – nor as being lords over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock; 4 – and when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that does not fade away.

The Greek word translated “lords” in the above verse is same exact word translated “subdue” in the Greek Septuagint of Genesis 1:27

This same word is also found here, translated “lord it over”:

Matthew 20:25- But Yahushua called them to Himself and said, “You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and those who are great exercise authority over them. 26 – “Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you, let him be your servant. 27 – And whoever desires to be first among you, let him be your slave– 28 – just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.”

Again, this is the context of the people of Yahweh. We do not subdue one another. Rather, like Messiah taught us, those who are in authority are the greatest servants. No one serves us like the Heavenly Father serves, and He is above all.

So what is it that we are to subdue and have dominion over? The earth, and every living thing on the earth except each other.

So when man was created to rule the earth, Yahweh’s plan was for man to do it the right way and not a corrupted, selfish way. We should take dominion within the boundaries and guidelines that He set, and thus be in submission to His rulership. Adam was created and had no knowledge of evil. Thus, he took dominion over the earth and subdued it in a righteous way until the day when the tempter came.

Yahweh set a guideline in the garden of Eden when he commanded Adam to not partake of the tree called, “the knowledge of good and evil.”

Genesis 2:16- And Yahweh Elohim commanded the man, saying, “Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; 17 – but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.” 18 – And Yahweh Elohim said, “It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him.”

This command was given prior to Eve being created. Once Yahweh created Eve, the command was also given to her, or passed onto her by Adam. So Adam was essentially a king & ruler over all the earth, and was expected to keep all things in line with Yahweh’s rulership.

Now, we know from scripture that it is satan’s desire to be in Yahweh’s position of rulership:

Isaiah 14:12- “How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground, You who weakened the nations! 13 – For you have said in your heart:`I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of Elohim; I will also sit on the mount of the congregation On the farthest sides of the north; 14 – I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High.’

Satan, in his rebellion, sought to be “like the Most High,” therefore he seeks to rule over anything that Yahweh creates.

So, if satan could gain rulership over man, he knew that he would also gain rulership over all the earth as well…because it was given to man to take dominion.

So what did satan do? He appeared in the form of one of the animals that Yahweh had commanded Adam to take dominion over….a serpent:

Genesis 3:1- Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which Yahweh Elohim had made. And he said to the woman, “Has Elohim indeed said, `You shall not eat of every tree of the garden’?”

In this story, as we all know, satan used Eve (whose real name was Chawah) to try and get both Eve and Adam to obey him rather than Yahweh…thereby gaining rulership over Adam and all that is in his dominion. Adam and Eve failed to subdue and take dominion over the serpent, and chose to give satan the position of authority over them rather than recognizing Yahweh as being their Elohim and King.

Since every man who was born after Adam has chosen to sin (and thus submit to satan’s rulership rather than Yahweh’s rulership), both man and the earth He was created to take dominion over and subdue has been under the dominion and control of satan. Not because Yahweh gave it to him, but because man rejected Yahweh as His Elohim and through sin chose satan’s rulership instead.

But not Yahushua. Yahushua said:

John 14:30- “I will no longer talk much with you, for the ruler of this world is coming, and he has nothing in Me.

Yahushua called satan the ruler of this world, but He never allowed satan to rule over him once. So he said that satan “has nothing in Me.”

It was because of satan’s rulership over men and rulership over the earth that Yahushua came:

John 12:31- “Now is the judgment of this world; now the ruler of this world will be cast out.

Yahushua came and brought us the righteousness we need to be cleansed of all our sins…sins that put us in the same predicament as Adam.

Since Yahushua came as a man, yet was perfect, Yahweh’s original plan to have man ruling and subduing the earth in the fear of Elohim is restored, and satan’s plan to rule is destroyed.

1 John 3:8- He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of Elohim was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.

After Yahushua’s resurrection, He said:

Matthew 28:18- And Yahushua came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 – Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 – teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

He was anointed to be king, and He now rules heaven and earth. Our job is to proclaim this kingdom to all the world. Our job is to proclaim the word of Yahweh so that men will choose to submit themselves to the one who is in authority over heaven and earth.

Yahushua came to proclaim a kingdom, the kingdom of Yahweh. Over and over again, this was His emphasis:

Matthew 4:17- From that time Yahushua began to preach and to say, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”

Matthew 4:23- And Yahushua went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom, and healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among the people.

Many times, He would tell the people in parables what the Kingdom was supposed to be like, and who would be worthy of entering it.

When He taught us how to pray, He said for us to pray:

Matthew 6:9- “In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. 10 – Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven. 11 – Give us this day our daily bread….

So before we begin asking anything, we are declaring the holiness of Yahweh’s name, and declaring our desire for His kingdom to be established, and for His will to be done on the earth. This is to be our focus and desire because Yahushua’s focus was also on the kingdom. This continued to be the focus with His disciples:

Acts 8:12- But when they believed Philip as he preached the things concerning the kingdom of Elohim and the name of Yahushua Messiah, both men and women were baptized.

Acts 19:8- And he went into the synagogue and spoke boldly for three months, reasoning and persuading concerning the things of the kingdom of Elohim.

Acts 28:30- Then Paul dwelt two whole years in his own rented house, and received all who came to him, 31 – preaching the kingdom of Elohim and teaching the things which concern the Master Yahushua Messiah with all confidence, no one forbidding him.

It is the enemies of Yahushua who do not want His Kingdom rulership. Therefore, they will be destroyed along with the devil:

Luke 19:27- `But bring here those enemies of mine, who did not want me to reign over them, and slay them before me.'”

Revelation 20:15- And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.

Now, notice carefully what Yahushua said in this verse:

Luke 17:20- Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of Elohim would come, He answered them and said, “The kingdom of Elohim does not come with observation; 21 – nor will they say, `See here!’ or `See there!’ For indeed, the kingdom of Elohim is within you.”

Yahushua declared His desire for the Kingdom of Yahweh to dwell within each of our hearts. When Yahushua dwells in our hearts, and when Yahweh’s word is in our hearts, the kingdom of Yahweh is established on the earth.

Now, what I have learned is that Yahushua has set a challenge before us. He has given us a goal that He wants us to achieve. Let’s read this verse again:

Matthew 28:18- And Yahushua came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 – Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 – teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

After declaring that all authority is given to Him in both heaven and earth, Yahushua gave a specific command to go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them, and commanding them to observe all things that Yahushua commanded. We are called to be disciple makers. This is a command that extends “to the end of the age.”

Now, we know that Yahushua is called the embodiment of Yahweh’s word. He is the “the Word of Elohim which became flesh which dwelt among us.”

John 1:14- And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.

When Yahushua commanded us to make disciples of all nations, what did He mean? The word “disciple” means “taught ones.” For one to be taught something, there needs to be instruction. The Hebrew word translated “Law” is “Torah” which means, “teaching, instruction.”

The nations need to be taught the Torah (law), or “teaching, instruction” of Yahweh. So ALL of scripture is to be taught to the nations, not just a part.

This earth that Yahweh has given us is not for the wicked. The earth is for the righteous:

Psalms 125:3- For the scepter of wickedness shall not rest On the land allotted to the righteous, Lest the righteous reach out their hands to iniquity.

The land is allotted for those who want to keep Yahweh’s Torah, those who are seeking righteousness. For this reason, satan’s scepter will not stand. The kingdoms of this world will not stand.

Once we realize that we have authorization and the blessing of Yahweh behind us, we stop caring what anyone thinks or says about what we are doing. We are the ones in authority because our kingdom has eternal rule. When we walk into a store and start proclaiming the ways of Yahweh to them, we have all of heaven behind us.

So here is the blessing, my brethren. Please take a moment and look at this scripture again:

Matthew 28:18- And Yahushua came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 – Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 – teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

Now let’s look again at the purpose for which we were created in the Garden of Eden:

Genesis 1:26- Then Elohim said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” 27 – So Elohim created man in His own image; in the image of Elohim He created him; male and female He created them. 28 – Then Elohim blessed them, and Elohim said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”

Do we realize that Yahushua’s mandate to us is directly connected to the purpose for which we were created.

There is a divine connection between these two scriptures. Our created purpose in Messiah is to do the same thing that Adam was called to do. The world we live in needs to be put back under the dominion of Yahweh. Much of it is currently under the dominion of His enemy, the devil. Yahushua came to destroy the works of the devil, and now we, the Body of the Messiah are charged with the duty of restoring the world we live in to the state it was prior to the fall, under subjection to the King of Kings.

So what ought to be our goal? Our goal needs to be Yahushua’s goal and that is to bring as many people as we can into the realization that they must be living their lives as though He has all power and authority in heaven and earth. By this, we are subduing and taking dominion over the earth as Yahweh originally intended when we were first created, with Yahweh being the Elohim we serve through it all.

The challenge is, the earth we live in is under the dominion of satan and we are supposed to take back the dominion over the earth for Yahweh!

And the ultimate goal is….

World Conquest

Our created purpose in Messiah then, is to proclaim and build the kingdom…Yahweh’s kingdom.

When we see things around us that are not in accordance with His kingdom, some area that has been given over to the enemy, it ought to really bother us!

We should see it as a major problem that needs fixing, and seek to rise up to the challenge of fixing it (with Yahweh’s help). He created us for the purpose of keeping the earth subdued under our dominion. It has been stolen and it’s our created purpose to take dominion and recover it.

We should look around us, seeing the kingdoms of the earth doing their own thing and concur with Yahweh as He says:

Psalms 2:1- Why do the nations rage, And the people plot a vain thing? 2 – The kings of the earth set themselves, And the rulers take counsel together, Against Yahweh and against His Anointed, saying, 3 – “Let us break Their bonds in pieces And cast away Their cords from us.” 4 – He who sits in the heavens shall laugh; The Master shall hold them in derision. 5 – Then He shall speak to them in His wrath, And distress them in His deep displeasure: 6 – “Yet I have set My King On My holy hill of Zion.” 7 – “I will declare the decree: Yahweh has said to Me,`You are My Son, Today I have begotten You. 8 – Ask of Me, and I will give You The nations for Your inheritance, And the ends of the earth for Your possession. 9 – You shall break them with a rod of iron; You shall dash them to pieces like a potter’s vessel.'” 10 – Now therefore, be wise, O kings; Be instructed, you judges of the earth. 11 – Serve Yahweh with fear, And rejoice with trembling. 12 – Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, And you perish in the way, When His wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him.

So our goal is to bring “all nations” under subjection to the Messiah and the Kingdom He rules over (heaven and earth). Yahushua desires us to engage in “world conquest.” We cannot think small, we must think big.

If Nineveh can repent, so can any nation. So wherever we see ground that is taken by the enemy, He wants us to go forth and proclaim the truth so that the ground may be given back to Yahweh…bringing all of mankind under a willing subjection to the King of Kings. We know that we get the ultimate victory in the end.

When Yahweh brought the children of Israel into His land, and they conquered and destroyed the enemy, the scripture would say:

Joshua 18:1- Now the whole congregation of the children of Israel assembled together at Shiloh, and set up the tabernacle of meeting there. And the land was subdued before them.

Numbers 32:20- Then Moses said to them: “If you do this thing, if you arm yourselves before Yahweh for the war, 21 – and all your armed men cross over the Jordan before Yahweh until He has driven out His enemies from before Him, 22 – and the land is subdued before Yahweh, then afterward you may return and be blameless before Yahweh and before Israel; and this land shall be your possession before Yahweh.

We are the children of Israel. This is our identity through Yahushua the Messiah. In Him we subdue the land that has been stolen by the enemy and restore it to Yahweh.

Now, we do not take up arms and destroy the enemy in a physical sense. Our kingdom is a spiritual kingdom that we have accepted by faith, so we fight a spiritual war and in spiritual terms.

2 Corinthians 10:4- For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in Elohim for pulling down strongholds, 5 – casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of Elohim, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Messiah,

We will cast down the argument and defeat the enemy with the sword of Yahweh’s Spirit.

Anytime we sow a seed, we are working together with Yahweh to destroy the enemy and his territory. Every time we present a biblical worldview to someone who is sold out on the enemy’s worldview, we are doing damage to the enemy and his desire to steal the earth away from us and Yahweh.

Little by little, as we engage the culture that we live in, and present the word of Yahweh through Messiah to them, we are doing damage to satan’s kingdom and bringing the earth and all of its inhabitants under a willing subjection to Yahushua the King. Not through force and not through control. Not by power, and not by might, but by the power of YAHWEH’S SPIRIT, the power found in the word of Yahweh.

In doing this, we are fulfilling the original calling that we had in Eden, to take dominion over the earth with the understanding that both we and all things will be in subjection to Yahweh.

Again, the goal ultimately is “world conquest.” We don’t think small, we think big. Our goal is to conquer the world:

Romans 8:37- Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.

Therefore, we should see our life in terms of challenge, quest, warfare and adventure. We need not fear. Anyone who will not surrender to Yahweh and join with us in our conquest, fighting against the Spirit of Yahweh within us will eventually be subdued.

For Yahweh, He will help us:

Psalms 47:2- For Yahweh Most High is awesome; He is a great King over all the earth. 3 – He will subdue the peoples under us, And the nations under our feet.

Micah 7:16- The nations shall see and be ashamed of all their might; They shall put their hand over their mouth; Their ears shall be deaf. 17 – They shall lick the dust like a serpent; They shall crawl from their holes like snakes of the earth. They shall be afraid of Yahweh our Elohim, And shall fear because of You.

Maybe you think, “Fear because of me? I’m not worthy! I’m not worthy! I have sin I still struggle with!”

Yahweh knows that. And you know what, He sees you struggling against it. It’s the struggle that He’s looking for. It’s the fact that you are fighting against sin that He’s looking for.

It’s the fact that even though you may fall seven times, you still get back up again, that he’s looking for! He sees that you have repented at the good news of the Kingdom.

And guess what? If we keep reading this passage in the book of Micah, we will see that He will also subdue our iniquities, casting them in the sea:

Micah 7:16- The nations shall see and be ashamed of all their might; They shall put their hand over their mouth; Their ears shall be deaf. 17 – They shall lick the dust like a serpent; They shall crawl from their holes like snakes of the earth. They shall be afraid of Yahweh our Elohim, And shall fear because of You. 18 – Who is a Elohim like You, Pardoning iniquity And passing over the transgression of the remnant of His heritage? He does not retain His anger forever, Because He delights in mercy. 19 – He will again have compassion on us, And will subdue our iniquities. You will cast all our sins Into the depths of the sea.

So while our sins are forgiven through what Messiah has done for us, the wicked who will not repent at the good news of the Kingdom, and choose to persecute us will one day be ashamed of their might and be like the serpents licking the dust off the ground. They will fear Yahweh because of us, and Yahweh will forgive our iniquities, casting all our sins into the depth of the sea. Is that beautiful or what? Is Yahweh an awesome Elohim, or what? Blessed be the name of Yahweh.

You see brethren, I’ve found that a believer’s life is not just sitting back and waiting to feel spiritual, hoping we have the feelings of contentment and happiness that just comes with the mere condition of being a believer.

We get that happiness and contentment by having a mission, and completing goals within that mission by serving in the fight and battle that we were called to fight in, conquering ground and bringing all things under our dominion in Messiah just as Yahweh commanded us to do. Yahweh gave us this earth as our place of dominion and we need to be the arms, legs and body of Yahushua in bringing all things in subjection to Him.

As I mentioned in the beginning of this study today, everything Yahweh created is going to inherently be happiest when they do what Yahweh created them to do, and we are no exception to that. Yahweh probably created pleasure centers in our brains when we do what we were created to do.

So our life is not just about getting to the Kingdom, it’s about offering this kingdom to all who are upon the earth. We have the greater kingdom and therefore have authority over the enemy’s kingdom. By the power and Spirit of Yahweh in us, we can take back ground that is given over to the enemy. This is our earth; Yahweh gave it to us.

We are one of the few who truly understand what this kingdom is going to be like. We are among the few who understand that the Torah, the Law of Yahweh is going to go forth out of Tzion, and all the earth will learn of Yahweh’s ways:

Isaiah 2:3- Many people shall come and say, “Come, and let us go up to the mountain of Yahweh, To the house of the Elohim of Jacob; He will teach us His ways, And we shall walk in His paths.” For out of Zion shall go forth the law, And the word of Yahweh from Jerusalem. 4 – He shall judge between the nations, And rebuke many people; They shall beat their swords into plowshares, And their spears into pruning hooks; Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, Neither shall they learn war anymore.

Isaiah 66:22- For as the new heavens and the new earth Which I will make shall remain before Me,” says Yahweh, “So shall your descendants and your name remain. 23 – And it shall come to pass That from one New Moon to another, And from one Sabbath to another, All flesh shall come to worship before Me,” says Yahweh.

Isaiah 42:21- Yahweh is well pleased for His righteousness’ sake; He will exalt the law and make it honorable. 22 – But this is a people robbed and plundered; All of them are snared in holes, And they are hidden in prison houses; They are for prey, and no one delivers; For plunder, and no one says, “Restore!”

So do we realize what an honor this is to proclaim a kingdom that hardly anyone knows is really about? Do we realize that we were called to an awesome calling, my brethren? We are one of the few carriers of the true good news which proclaims the full Genesis to Revelation message to all mankind.

And you know what, we are among the few who bear the name of Yahweh, which is the true token of authority on the earth, and we are among the few who baptize in Yahushua’s name.

This is a very special honor and we must not take it lightly! We should not get prideful about this, my brethren, we CANNOT get prideful and judgmental. Yahweh gives, but Yahweh can take away. With what judgment we judge, we will be judged. Rather than getting prideful, we should be getting thankful with a thousand songs of thanksgiving! HalleluYah!!!!

When we are spending time focusing on taking dominion in other ways or areas that have no eternal value (sports games, etc), Yahweh is jealous of our time brethren. We serve a jealous Elohim, and I’m not saying that we can never engage in recreation. I’m saying try to think of things from a heavenly perspective. If we are spending excessive amounts of time on things that have no value for the kingdom, and yet Yahweh has an entire earth that He wants us to take dominion over for Him and His righteous ways, what would he think of that?

Yahweh is looking down on the earth from His throne. He sees that the world is in a huge mess, and is a very wicked place. He sends His own Son to die for us so that we can be saved from the miry pit we dug ourselves into, and tell us to “go and make disciples of all nations.” But instead, we are spending all our time taking dominion in areas that have no meaning at all. e.g. Playing pointless games, watching others play pointless games,  watching movies and engaging in self-gratifying entertainments.

If we watch a movie or read a book for the sole purpose of entertainment, what have we really gained? We watch a fictional show about good triumphing over evil, then we go back to a normal life. But what if we started living a life of taking dominion in such a way that good triumphs over evil, which is sure to have adventure and conquest? Much better than reading about it in a book or watching it in a movie.

If we play a game and we reach the goal of winning the game, what have we really gained? Nothing of any value. But what if we started living a life that put us on a mission, with a preset goal to accomplish, along with challenges and rewards to be enjoyed along the way? Much more interesting, and dare I say? Much more entertaining and enjoyable?!

We have a goal, and if fits right in with what man does all the time. Man loves to see a goal being accomplished. When a soul is brought into His kingdom, the challenge of getting him to defect the army of the enemy and joining Yahweh’s side of the battle is accomplished. And that makes our side even stronger and more visible.

We have an important job to do. Yahweh’s kingship has been stolen, and we’re on a recovery mission. We’re on a search and rescue mission, with the goal of saving men, women and children from eternal death.

Proverbs 24:11- Deliver those who are drawn toward death, And hold back those stumbling to the slaughter. 12 – If you say, “Surely we did not know this,” Does not He who weighs the hearts consider it? He who keeps your soul, does He not know it? And will He not render to each man according to his deeds?

We’ll have an eternity to contemplate the souls that will have been won, but only a few hours to win them. So we aren’t called to sit back and watch as our neighbor is on the path to destruction. That’s not love!

I once read:

“Could a mariner sit idle if he heard the drowning cry?
Could a doctor sit in comfort and just let his patients die?
Could a fireman sit idle, let men burn and give no hand?
Can you sit at ease in Zion with the world around you damned?”

If we just sit around and focus on things in this present world with the “consume and enjoy” mindset, we’re just “taking up the ground” and are no use for Yahweh. Therefore, why would Yahweh see any use for us at the end of the age?

Let’s go out and be useful! Let’s start the search and recovery mission. I know that we can work much more together than we can as a fragmented body. We weren’t just created to be living in the image of Elohim, we were created to take dominion over the earth. Yahweh will be with us!

May Yahweh bless you, and may Yahweh have mercy on us all!
