Sometimes I have no problem with change.
And sometimes I have a major issue with it.
One thing I have learned is that when I resist change, it’s harder.
And when I am flexible, it doesn’t seem that bad.
I don’t mind changing me or my quirks.
I do mind when I have to change my schedule or timelines for project.
And I certainly have a problem when I have to change locations.
Still a work in progress.
Personal Example
Let’s back up to this flexibility thing.
At one time, I had a huge problem with any kind of change.
How dare someone change my agenda!
I would seize up and get upset over the smallest change
And it only made it worse.
Apparently, Yahweh knew very well how much I needed to learn how to be FLEXIBLE.
So, He provided me with an abundance of “opportunities” to practice flexibility.
I flunked them all.
Each time I got more and more upset, until He sent a messenger (thanks Mom!) who suggested that maybe Yahweh was teaching me flexibility.
HUH?! Me?! Flexible?
How about Yahweh changing the circumstances so that my agenda goes smoothly?
Not a chance.
In the end, I had to learn how to be flexible.
Not easy, but worth it.
A Word Of Wisdom
I am learning to say, “Yah willing” or “Yahweh willing” before I verbalize my plans.
It is humbling to know that planning my day without Yahweh is a bad mistake.
It seems that no matter what I say, it never goes my way.
Well, it’s not supposed to go my way, but at least I would think that I’m including Yahweh in my plans.
By saying, “Yah willing” I AM including all the possibilities that may change my plans.
The last several weeks have been a rough ride as I am a slow learner in this.
Finally, last night, I included the phrase “Yahweh willing” into my sentence.
To boot, I put it before my plans, not after.
Flexible change is a skill for me; it hasn’t ever come naturally for me.
I think, though, it’s a good skill to have.
