When our hearts are set on winning, whether it’s a battle over sickness, a team win in sports, or attaining something in life, we focus only on our win. That can be a poor move on our part. Wanting to win tends to narrow not only our minds, but our focusing ability. It limits us for the long term to our “win” in life.

For example, let’s say that you are on a team competing against another team in problem solving. Your team of 6 members work together to solve a variety of problems, and so does the other team. Both teams have a goal: win.

In order to win, each team needs a strategy. It may be team work, or capitalizing on the other team’s weaknesses. It might be operating in a mini-hierarchy with ranks of skill. There might be communication between team members, or only orders from one or two. There is, however, another strategy that leads to a greater win in life.

Do you know what it might be? What is your guess?

The answer comes…next week.
Have a great week!
