Time flies by these days.
And so quickly.
By the end of the day I am tired.
Not just tired, but sleepy tired.
Time won’t stand still for me, though.
It never does.
Tick, tock, tick, tock, tick, tock.
***
I have heard that we should work smarter, not harder.
It makes sense, but only if you know how.
If I am doing the same thing over and over and I never get ahead, working harder isn’t going to help me.
Working smarter will, but only if I know how.
How?
Where?
When?
What?
Help!
Time doesn’t help.
Time may pressure us to work smarter, but it doesn’t show us how.
Tick, tock, tick, tock, tick, tock.
***
In the end, it doesn’t reallly matter.
All projects fade away, and how we treated one another remains.
Time will certainly tell, won’t it?
I suppose the author of Ecclesiastes had a handle on it in chapter 3?
However, I think he was referring to seasons of things, not the tick tock of the clock.
In the end, I still don’t really understand why time flies.
Am I really that busy that I have no time for anyone else (including me)?
What are my priorities?
What am I striving for?
***
It may be that time is not the problem, but only the watchman.
Time has a way of indiscriminately telling us that.
Tick, tock, may be its only sounds, but it rings a warning that what we do should count.
And what is that?
Only what we do for Yahweh and Yahshua will last in the end.
