Writing my own bio is hard sometimes because I feel like I’m tooting my own horn.
Look at me!
Look what I’ve done!
It’s really not about me, but what Yahweh has done in me, so then it’s glory and honor to Yah most High.
I can live with that, so here goes, a little about me and what Yahweh had done in my life….
The Issues Of Life 4.23 Ministry
Yahweh has given me extensive experience in dealing with different personalities, conflict management, character development and serving others. He has blessed me with more opportunities (than I care to count) to be able to develop Messiah-like character while dealing with difficult personalities. I can’t say that I have arrived, but I now appreciate all those difficult personalities who have sandpapered me to learn how to be tactful and listen instead of giving them a piece of my opinion (which never comes across tactfully).
Character Development: The Vehicle Of Change Is Challenges
Did you know that in order to grow and develop your character, you will have to go through trials and tough times. These are the vehicles of change and it’s all how we look at them. Yahweh sees hard times as opportunities for us to grow. We see them as challenges to avoid. Isn’t there an easier way? There could be an easier path but it will not sandpaper and/or fine-tune us to be more Messiah-like. We could be cheating ourselves out of the very character we want to develop in our lives.
Are you praying for more faith? Expect more trials. More patience? You’re brave. You’re going to get a lot more opportunities to develop that with irritating situations, people, and circumstances that are beyond your control. Are you praying to be more compassionate? Expect more trials and troubles. Are you looking for success in life? Expect obstacles and hurdles. They are there to motivate you to overcome and conquer. Life is meant to be one vehicle of overcoming everything thrown at you. It’s not a matter of “Why me, Yahweh?” but a matter of “What are You teaching me, Yahweh?”
That’s right. Perspective makes all the difference, so does perception. How we look at life will determine how we react. If you want an easy life, your strength in adversity will be small (Proverbs 24:10). In other words, as soon as you hit a challenge, no matter how puny, you’ll fall apart thinking you’re being punished for something. That’s not the case. Hard times are meant to strengthen you. Think about those Israelites in bondage in Egypt before Yahweh delivered them (Exodus 2-3). They had it tough. Then it got worse for them because Yahweh was preparing them for the journey ahead (Exodus 5-10). They saw it as worse. Yahweh saw it as preparation. It’s easier to endure a hard trial when you find purpose in the pain.
Remember. Perspective. Perspective influences attitude. Attitude influences choices. Choices influence actions. You get the idea.
Book Knowledge
Yahweh has never left me orphaned to blindly splash around the trials He blesses me with on a daily basis. He has used different Christian (and secular) authors to pave the way to change. Biblical and non-biblical based self-help books have been a major part of my life. In other words, I love to read and the genre I spent the most time in was self-help.
Not everyone has the time to read and so Yahweh has shown me how to utilize the book knowledge into everyday life. Implementation may be slow, but it’s perfected over time. By the time I am ready to share with other women, Yah has proven the knowledge application repeatedly in my life to the point that I can give a synopsis of knowledge and experience combined. To boot, it’s usually in 5 minutes or less. Talk about cramming a lot of knowledge and experience into that! Instead of years of experience, Yahweh has shown me how to read and apply in a matter of months. It works! When I share with other women and they apply it, they find it works too, and in less time. They’re geniuses because they learned from my knowledge and expertise (i.e. my mistakes).
Spare Time
Do I have spare time? Apparently, according to Yahweh, I have lots of it. I use it to explore new ideas, volunteer, learning new life skills and practice my singing voice. All this spare time. Sometimes I put that spare time into scrolling social media. Of course, I’m sponging new ideas and concepts and I have this internal dialogue with Yahweh. He’s in every part of my life, but especially social media.
I used to use my spare pockets of time to zone out from stressful situations. Gaming had a purpose in my life. It started with Tetris – puzzle orientated under pressure. Then I switched to Chess.com with the intent to strategize and learn to make good decisions under pressure. For awhile, I played both, limiting myself to 3 games at a time, but then decided one of the two was enough. Eventually, I gave up both and moved onto something else. After limiting my time on games, I ended up with Word Blitz, another thinking game, sort of. Apparently there are words in the English language I didn’t know existed. New words under pressure cause me to think and decide and act when the pressure is on. It’s a game that makes me think. I limit myself to visiting the game twice in a day. I make it count. Slowly, I am switching gears.
I want to make my spare time count for the kingdom. I volunteer much of that time. Yahweh has granted me the opportunity to be an assistant manager of a thrift and grocery store. Surely, I have bitten off more than I can chew, but obviously Yahweh knows I can handle it because over a year later, I am still here, managing. He has taught me a lot. He has used eternal Sisters in my life to teach me how to handle life. I am constantly in the process of learning, changing, and adapting.
Final Words
In closing, I’d say that Yahweh has done a marvelous work in my life. Everywhere I turn, I see His handiwork and signature. I am grateful and thankful that He is patient with me while He molds and shapes me to be more like Yahshua.
