Good morning!
I was supposed to start posting yesterday morning! Ha!
Well, I forgot. I didn’t write it on my calendar and therefore it did not get done.
Thankfully, I got to it almost 24 hours later.

I was up and running at 5 am this morning.
Since today is Preparation Day, the main floor gets mopped. I’m up removing dining room chairs, kitchen runners, shoes, and dog food (don’t forget the trash can!) so I can sweep and mop.
35 minutes later, I’m back in my room while the floor air dries, fresh and clean.
I read my morning Scripture and then make my bed.
I have two hours before I need to get ready to leave for the thrift store. Today can be very slow and very busy…
And at 10:25 am, it is already busy.

In those 2 hours, I am uploading, formatting and editing parts of the next magazine, the HARVEST 2024, Volume 1, issue 4 of A Light In The Darkness.
It’s going well, smooth, which I’m relieved. I’ve only got until the 16th before it goes in for final editing.
Two hours zip by and before I know it, it’s time to get ready. Breakfast. Pack. Dressed.
Wow. I have an extra 20 minutes. Gold mine!
I think I’ll go out into the yard and take pictures.
Rose of Sharon. Red Clover. Is there any Jewelweed?

It’s 9:40 am and we’re heading into town, my ride.
I get in and I have several big endeavors planning in my mind, plus all the little details that didn’t get down yesterday (price tags, donation sorting, volunteer station organizing, bathroom cleaning).
Zipping through the store I finally stop at the laptop to turn on the store music (instrumental praise and Bach). That’s when I noticed it.

Flowers from my betrothed, Ricky Jenkins. My heart stilled in the busyness and swelled with that feeling of “I’m special.” I opened the envelope and read his note, a moment of poetry….

Since Yahweh planted you in the garden of my heart, I can’t help but bloom.

I’m almost speechless. In the middle of a busy morning, I am blessed. … I’m soaking up the pause and the beauty of flowers.

It’s 11 am now. The morning rush is gone and I can take a breath. I still have to take care of yesterday’s details and tackle today’s endeavors….
