“Yom Teruah Broadcast (7th month)”

EliYah’s message:

HalleluYah! Blessed be the name of Yahweh. And Yom Teruah! Shalom to all of you joining us for this special broadcast of the seventh month of the new year. We praise Yahweh for getting us through up to this point of the month called “Enduring.” And I will be talking about that here as we go through our broadcast study today.

But we feel very blessed to finally be in Feast Month! HalleluYah! But first we have some things that we need to cover here, some New Moon reports.

I am sure probably some of you are tuning in because you want to be able to find out whether or not the New Moon has been spotted in your area or if the New Moon has been seen, or maybe you want to share that you have seen the New Moon.

And so, anyway, we are looking forward to taking in all the reports– as we like to do– as many reports as possible. And we do have a number of reports to share with you.

There were 8 witnesses that saw the New Moon in Springfield, South Carolina, and 1 witness in Alabama; 7 witnesses in Mississippi; 8 witnesses in Winder, Georgia; 2 witnesses in San Antonio, Texas; 3 witnesses in Moody, Texas. And I am going to check some other locations.

It was seen by 3 witnesses in Fulton, Missouri. Also, 2 witnesses in Norfolk, Virginia. And so, we are looking good for our Feast dates here in Missouri in case you are wondering.

And I’m going to check some other locations here. We have the moon sighted in South Africa, North Carolina, Tennessee, Ohio, Georgia, Missouri, Texas, Florida, Kentucky. The actual locations would be Jacksonville, Florida– 2 witnesses. Maybe what I ought to do is just keep a running file here just for the sake of simplicity and referring to.

Peachtree City, Georgia, we have 2 witnesses, and Jamestown, Kentucky, 2 witnesses. Bucklin, Missouri, we have 1 witness; 3 witnesses in Rocheport, Missouri; and Fontana Dam, North Carolina, we have a witness there. Hallsboro, North Carolina, we have 2 witnesses. Chillicothe, Ohio, 1 witness, and another witness in Columbus Ohio.

And then, South Africa, was seen by 2 persons there. Oneida, Tennessee, we have 2 witnesses there. Arlington, Texas, 6 witnesses; 5 witnesses in Cisco, Texas; 1 witness in Tyler, Texas. And then, Norfolk, Virginia, we have 2 witnesses.

We have a lot of witnesses for the New Moon sighting. What I am looking for is the northern most sighting of the New Moon. That is kind of what I am curious about this year, because looking here on our PowerPoint, you see that this section of the country up to right here, from here down to here, we are going to have difficulty seeing it.

So I am pretty curious as to how far north we are going to be seeing the New Moon in this green section, this light green section right here. According to the charts, we see here this section is considered to be visible under “perfect atmospheric conditions.”

Chillicothe, Ohio, is about right here. Columbus, Ohio… Chillicothe… is about right here. And we do have another sighting in Norfolk, Virginia, which is pretty much along the same lines there. Pretty close. I could look here on a map. I don’t know exactly where Norfolk, Virginia is. I will take a look here.

All right, it looks like Norfolk, Virginia, is down around this area right here. So we will await and see what other kind of reports come in. It should be interesting to see what kind of reports we get here in the coming minutes and hour or so.

We also have… I’m looking here… of course, Missouri. And we are pretty much along this same line right here. We are actually more in the green around here in Missouri. So we would anticipate seeing it here.

There are no reports of the moon being sighted in Israel. So for any of us who prefer to go by the Israel sighting, there are no confirmed reports of the New Moon being seen in Israel. So for those of you who prefer that sighting, it will not have been seen tonight, but tomorrow night. So it depends on your preference and your own conviction.

But certainly here in Missouri we are at Yom Teruah, and we praise Yahweh for that. And I think we are going to go ahead and take some calls here, and I believe we have a picture of the New Moon I can post up here… and I am going to zoom here on this picture so everybody can see it.

All right, here we go. For those of you who can see it, it looks like it is this spot right here in the sky. You might need your HD video connection to be able to see it.

That is coming from Joshua in Texas. And speaking of Joshua in Texas, we will go ahead and connect with him and see what he has to say about the New Moon sighting.

So if he answers, we will go ahead and get in touch with him about the New Moon and see what he found out.

The New Moon has been spotted in Missouri as far north as Fulton and Rocheport, Missouri.

And then the other states that we have listed here on my report, for those just joining us, we have Florida, Kentucky, North Carolina, Ohio (central Ohio, Columbus), South Africa, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, South Carolina, Mississippi, Georgia. So the reports are coming in. I will go ahead and check my email box as well.

Someone reported in Cairo, Egypt, there was no sign of the crescent there. Terry Clinton in Point Pleasant, West Virginia, are reporting that they saw the New Moon there in Point Pleasant, West Virginia. So that is pretty close to being on par with our other locations.

Looking back here on the map, we have some “x’s” there. I added another “x” there. A couple of Ohio and West Virginia folks were able to see the New Moon. It was not seen in Toronto, Canada. We have Jay and Grace in De Ridder, Louisiana, who are reporting the New Moon sighting… 4 witnesses.

All right, I think we are about wrapped up on our New Moon reports, at least until a little bit later. So it looks like mostly the Midwestern and Southern states are the reporters as of this moment. We expect some further Western states to begin reporting here soon. I did try to contact Joshua there in Texas, but was not able to get an answer.

So I will go ahead and blow a shofar with the Hammond Family. I believe they will be joining us. So I am going to give them a call, and then we are going to blow the shofar together, and hopefully, hear some live music as well.

EliYah: Yom Teruah Shalom. Shabbat Shalom.

Hammond Family: Shalom. Shalom.

EliYah: Praise Yahweh!

Hammond Family: Praise Yahweh!

EliYah: It sounds like we have the Hammond Family. And you are live witnesses of the New Moon, correct?

Hammond Family: Yes, sir. Praise Yahweh! We all saw it. Actually, us and my dad’s parents. Eight of us in all. (Hammond Family blowing the shofar!)

EliYah: That is awesome! I think I will do the same. On the count of three. Ready? One… two… and three. (Blowing the shofars!) HalleluYah! Blessed be Yahweh!

Hammond Family: HalleluYah!

EliYah: So this is a Day of Trumpets because we know we have a Savior who is going to be returning at the last trump, and a trumpet is a call to gather– a call to gather for war, a call, actually, for repentance, too, because Yahushua is going to be reigning from Yerushalayim and the whole world is going to be having to yield to His will.

EliYah: And I can’t wait for that moment. How about you all?

Hammond Family: HalleluYah! We can’t wait!

EliYah: Until then we might as well yield to His will now. That is our future, right?

Hammond Family: That is right. HalleluYah!

EliYah: HalleluYah! So I believe the Hammond Family has some music to share. Is that correct?

Hammond Family: Yes, we do.

EliYah: All right! Praise Yahweh! I am ready when you are.

Hammond Family: All right, this one is called “Blow Ye the Trumpet” in honor of the Festival of Yom Teruah that we are celebrating. And we offer this to Almighty Yahweh in the name of Yahushua Ha Mashiach. (Hammond Family singing “Blow Ye the Trumpet.)

EliYah: HalleluYah! Blessed be Yahweh!

Hammond Family: HalleluYah! We have one more. It is sort of a simple little chorus, but it goes along perfectly with the joyous occasion that we have before us. Praise Yahweh! Yom Teruah! And we offer this to Yahweh in Yahushua’s name. “In the Seventh Month.” (Hammond Family singing “In the Seventh Month.”)

EliYah: Amein! Praise Yahweh!

Hammond Family: HalleluYah!

EliYah: Thanks for sharing. Anything else?

Hammond Family: That’s all for now. Yom Teruah Shalom! Yahweh bless you! Abba bless you all!

EliYah: Yom Teruah Shalom! Looking forward to seeing you in a couple of weeks, Yahweh willing.

Hammond Family: Yahweh willing. HalleluYah!

EliYah: HalleluYah! Shalom Shalom!

Good to hear from the Hammond Family. Missed a call there from Brother Joshua. I will try to give him a call back, and if that works out well, we will be praising Yahweh with him and get a New Moon report as well. We are trying that right now, actually, if we can get it to work.

We have a report in Fort Worth, Texas. The New Moon has been seen. And also, some reports in Cambridge, Ohio. They are saying the New Moon was seen there. So if you are looking at the little map we have going here, it is pretty much along the same line right here. So that is where we have confirmed the New Moon has been seen.

But that is as far north as we have been able to get a confirmed report as of yet. So we will keep an eye on that and see if anything else comes through and go from there.

I will check my website here. Those in Salmon, Idaho, they do, apparently, have some clouds there. So they may not be able to see it. That is from Brother Alan in Salmon, Idaho. So will be looking forward to see if that ever happens, if we are able to get a good report there. That should be interesting.

All right, well, I think we want to go ahead and take some more phone calls or Skype calls if you are interested in calling in. Our telephone number is: (417) 683-3575. And toll free: (866) 435-4924. And our Skype ID is: EliYah.com.

So would love to hear from you and share some praises to Yahweh, along with a… (EliYah blowing the shofar)… shofar blast! Praise Yahweh! HalleluYah! We love to hear the shofar. Hopefully, we hear some more tonight before the night is over.

But so far, we have some good reports that have come in from Cambridge, Ohio; Chillicothe, Ohio; Columbus, Ohio. Those are all in the central Ohio area, although Cambridge is a little on the eastern side.

Then we have reports from South Africa, Texas, Virginia, North Carolina, Missouri– as far north as Fulton, Missouri– Kentucky, Florida, Louisiana, South Carolina, Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia. So quite a few folks sighting the New Moon in these mostly Midwestern to Southern states.

Anyway, we praise Yahweh for those, and we are going to go ahead and share a song here from the library. And I encourage you to call in, if you would, and share some praises to Yahweh and a shofar blast on this blessed Yom Teruah. HalleluYah! (Playing Psalm 125 “Not be Moved” by James Block and “Rejoice” by Tammy Robinson.)

HalleluYah! Blessed be Yahweh! We do have a caller calling in. We have Brother Daniel calling in. At least he was, and then it suddenly stopped. So I will try to call him back and see if it connects.

EliYah: I believe we have the Daniel Wornicov Family. Is this correct? Am I saying your name correctly?

Wornicov Family: Yes, that is perfect. You did good.

EliYah: All right! And I am going to flip over here to the whole family. Praise Yahweh! It looks good. HalleluYah! Did you all see the New Moon?

Wornicov Family: We drove around three times looking for it. We are in a really hilly area. So we drove around three times looking for it and decided to come back and tune into the broadcast and get the reports from there. But we wanted to call in (and Nadia wanted to blow the shofar) and just tell everybody to have a blessed Yom Teruah.

Wornicov Family: We have been looking forward to it all week.

EliYah: Awesome!

Wornicov Family: We just wanted to make this an extra special night and just say “hi” to everybody.

EliYah: All right! Praise Yahweh! So are you ready to blow the horn for us?

Nadia: Yeah!

EliYah: All right, I’ll blow the horn right along with you.

Nadia: Are you ready?

EliYah: Here we go!

(EliYah and Nadia blowing the shofars together.)

Nadia: I am not very good at it.

(EliYah and Nadia blowing the shofars together.)

EliYah: All right! Very good!

(Wornicov Family blowing the shofar.)

EliYah: HalleluYah!

Wornicov Family: We have the little one in training. He has been blowing through this thing all day.

EliYah: That’s great!

Wornicov Family: Maybe by the Feast.

EliYah: How about you Daniel?

Wornicov Family: We are looking forward to seeing you guys in a couple of weeks for sure. We are just counting down the seconds now. See you guys soon. Shabbat Shalom!

EliYah: Shabbat Shalom! Yom Teruah Shalom! Great to see you all!

Wornicov Family: Thank you.

EliYah: Praise Yahweh! See you in a couple of weeks, Yahweh willing.

Wornicov Family: Yes! Praise Yahweh! Thank you.

EliYah: HalleluYah! Shabbat Shalom Shalom!

All right! Wornicov Family, great to see you all and hear the shofar blast. (EliYah blowing the shofar.) HalleluYah!

If you don’t have a shofar, the word “teruah” also means “to shout.” So you can shout praises of “HalleluYah!” And I probably should have had Daniel’s family all do that for us. But anyway, it was good to see them all.

I am going to try to call Joshua here one more time before we move along and see if we can get a connection here. In the meantime, I will check some updates on New Moon reports.

A lot of witnesses in El Paso Texas– 21 witnesses there. Waiting to hear back from Alan in Salmon, Idaho, to see what he finds up there. We had Brother Dave look up in Wisconsin, thirty-five miles east of Minneapolis, and he was not able to see it.

We also have some folks in Rhode Island that tried to look for the New Moon, and they were not able to see it in Rhode Island. However, they were able to see it in central Ohio. So I think we are looking good for there.

And it looks like we do have a caller who is ready to call in…

EliYah: Can I have your name and where you are calling from?

Caller: (The sound of a shofar blast!) Praise Yahweh! HalleluYaaaah!

EliYah: HalleluYah! Is this Brother Richard?

Brother Rich: Yes, sir.

EliYah: HalleluYah! (Blowing the shofar!) HalleluYah! How are you doing, brother?

Brother Rich: (Blowing the shofar!) Praise Yahweh!

EliYah: Praise Yahweh! And this is a celebration of our Savior’s return. I am sure we will be jumping up and down. Or whatever we will be doing, we will be excited.

Brother Rich: HalleluYah!

EliYah: So praise Yahweh for that, and we are thankful for another month we can live and breathe and have our being and enjoy the festivals. For those of you who are fairly new to Yom Teruah, it is just a night of rejoicing and blowing the shofar and shouting– and tomorrow, of course, feasting. All that good stuff.

Brother Rich: And a set-apart gathering.

EliYah: And gathering. If you can gather with other believers in your area, that is most ideal.

Brother Rich: Read Yahweh’s Word.

EliYah: Read the scriptures. We can focus on the scriptures dealing with the Messiah’s return and all those good things… the good news of the Kingdom. So it looks like you collected quite a few New Moon reports there, brother.

Brother Rich: Praise Yahweh! We just had another one come in from Texas from Steward and Sharon. They said six people saw it in The Colony, Texas.

EliYah: Okay! All right! Fantastic! It looks like about the furthest north we have had is Ohio and West Virginia.

Brother Rich: Yeah, up near the D.C. area we did not happen to see it. So I think it was pretty low on the horizon, I would guess. That is probably why. I don’t really know for certain, though. But we didn’t see it.

EliYah: All right.

Brother Rich: But plenty of people did. So praise Yahweh!

EliYah: HalleluYah! And so, I am just kind of curious as to what the cloud cover looked like at this time. We had clouds here in our section of Missouri, so we were not able to see it here. But other parts of Missouri, they were able to see it. So we are good. We are ready for the Feast!

Brother Rich: Do you mind if I share a song or two, though?

EliYah: Would love to have it.

Brother Rich: I want to make sure you can hear the guitar okay because I am on a different speaker phone here. Can you hear that okay?

EliYah: I can hear it, yep.

Brother Rich: All right! Praise Yahweh! (Brother Rich singing “He Shall Reign!”)

Brother Rich: Praise Yahweh!

EliYah: HalleluYah!

Brother Rich: Would you mind if I share another song or two?

EliYah: Feel free.

Brother Rich: I just put some new strings on for the seventh month, so I’m ready to go. (Brother Rich singing “Give Thanks.”)

Brother Rich: I didn’t hear what songs the Hammonds did. Did they already do “Give Us Clean Hands” tonight?

EliYah: I don’t think so. And actually, make sure you are a little bit closer to the microphone, because you sound a little bit distant.

Brother Rich: Okay. Sorry about that.

EliYah: Much better.

Brother Rich: Is this better?

EliYah: Yes, much better.

Brother Rich: Sorry about that, brother.

EliYah: No problem. HalleluYah!

Brother Rich: (Singing “Give Us Clean Hands.”) Praise Yahweh! HalleluYah!

EliYah: HalleluYah! Blessed be Yahweh! Beautiful song! Praise Yahweh! Appreciate you calling in, brother. One last shofar blast?

Brother Rich: All right. One last shofar blast for you tonight. (Brother Rich and EliYah blowing the shofars!)

Brother Rich: Praise Yahweh! HalleluYah! Yahweh bless you and keep you, brother.

EliYah: Yom Teruah Shalom! HalleluYah!

Good to hear from Brother Richard in D.C., and I want to go ahead and show everybody this interesting map of the United States. This is a current satellite picture right here. And you can see the clouds that were over us right here. These clouds were actually over here at the time we were looking for the New Moon.

It was kind of difficult for us to see the New Moon down here, but up here in this part of Missouri it was easier to see. But the folks out west… wow! They have some storms out there. And our brother here in Salmon, Idaho, may have difficulty seeing it, but there is always a chance. You never know.

We have had cloud cover like this before here in Missouri, and then just a little opening in the clouds would just kind of pop open and we would be able to see it. And it was always exciting to see Yahweh do that for us.

But out here on the east coast it is fairly clear. It looks like a slight haze over different areas, but not too bad. Down in Florida, got some storms rolling through. Southern Texas/Southeast Texas, some storms. And I feel like a weather man here, but we are trying to get an idea of what kind of areas might be able to see the New Moon.

So this is a good picture of the most recent satellite of the clouds and stuff. And so, you have an idea of what you might expect in different areas of the country.

I don’t think we are going to have too many folks out here in the west being able to see it unless they are perhaps down south here where it is a little drier in the New Mexico and Arizona areas. But, I guess, this is all going to push our way eventually, isn’t it? So it might be some wet weather ahead for all of us.

But it is kind of neat technology that we can do that.

So, anyway, we are looking forward to sharing the New Moon broadcast study. We are going to look over some scriptures, different events that occurred in the seventh month. Before that, we will do one final sweep here through the New Moon reports.

We have reports in Missouri– Fulton and Rocheport, Missouri– Cambridge, Ohio; Columbus, Ohio; Hampton, Virginia; Norfolk, Virginia. And then we have reports in Jacksonville, Florida; Jamestown, Kentucky; Bucklin, Missouri; Fontana Dam, North Carolina; Hallsboro, North Carolina. South Africa, in Johannesburg, it was witnessed there.

It was seen in Oneida, Tennessee, and several places in Texas– Arlington, Cisco, Tyler (many places, actually, in Texas) and then, San Antonio, Texas… Moody, Texas. Also seen in Springfield, South Carolina and in Alabama and multiple locations in Mississippi, and in Winder, Georgia, by the Hammond Family.

So looking good. And we have reports from folks looking for the New Moon but were not able to see it. I think that might be just as relevant for all of us, so let’s take a look here…

We had clear skies in Danbury, North Carolina. They were not able to see it there. But some of it is a matter of experience, too. Also, Rhode Island. Could not see the New Moon with the naked eye.

Looking here… clouds… clouds… I’m looking for clear skies and seeing if anybody was not able to see it in spite of the clear skies.

Belle Vernon, Pennsylvania: no sighting, clear skies. And Rhode Island, apparently they were only able to see the New Moon with binoculars. That was the only way they could see it. Let me see if I can find other locations.

Thick clouds in Massachusetts. Saint Charles, Missouri: haze and clouds. There is Oklahoma. Haze and clouds there. Cloudy in Oklahoma. And, of course, clear skies in Belle Vernon, Pennsylvania. Not visible there. So keep those locations in mind here as we are looking on our map of potential visible spots for the New Moon.

You see here that about as far north as we could get would be this line across right here. But, of course, if you had clear skies, according to this particular map, you should be able to see it throughout.

But folks up here in Rhode Island were not able to see it in spite of clear skies. But how clear is clear? Visibility varies depending on atmospheric conditions and pollution and so on.

So, anyway, that is the report for this evening as of this moment. And we are going to go ahead and share our study portion, and then we are going to go ahead and do one last check through the New Moon reports for those who may be waiting on those. And we will go from there.

So, anyway, let me do a quick check of my email box… It looks like Fort Worth, Texas, Cornelius Carey, Jim Mitchell, Karen Davidson saw the New Moon. Very good. Praise Yahweh!

All right, we are going to share one more song here from the library and then we will begin our study portion. And since it is the Feast of Trumpets, we will “Sing, O heavens, and Rejoice, O earth.” HalleluYah!

STUDY PORTION:

HalleluYah! It is Yom Teruah officially here in Missouri, or “Missourah” as we like to say around here. “Missourah.” You can always tell if someone is from my state. They will say, “Missourah.” It ends in an “i.” It should be “Missouri.” But we say “Missourah.”

Here in Missourah it is Yom Teruah, and we praise Yahweh for that and looking forward to sharing some scriptures on: The Seventh Month of Yahweh’s Calendar. HalleluYah!

We are finally here in the Holy Day Season and we praise Yahweh for that. We are blessed to have survived another month, and we are going to look at some scripture that actually details some of the events that occurred during the seventh month of Yahweh’s Calendar. Looking forward to sharing those scriptures with you, and we are going to get started.

If you are looking for a New Moon chart, you can download the Calendar here at: http://www.eliyah.com/printedcalendar.html. And you can download it, get the moon charts and the Feast dates and all that good stuff. So that is the spot.

The first scripture here:

1Kings 8:1 - Now Solomon assembled the elders of Israel and all the heads of the tribes, the chief fathers of the children of Israel, to King Solomon in Jerusalem, that they might bring up the ark of the covenant of YAHWEH from the City of David, which [is] Zion.

2 – Therefore all the men of Israel assembled with King Solomon at the feast in the month of Ethanim, which [is] the seventh month.

So this particular month has a name attached to it. The sixth month did not. The fifth month did not. I’m sorry, the sixth month was Elul, wasn’t it? This month is Ethanim. I know there are some Jewish calendars that would call it “Tishri,” but that name is not in the Scriptures. So I go with “Ethanim.”

What does it mean in Hebrew? It means “enduring,” which is interesting. It is actually named, they believe, because of the permanent streams that still flowed. The climate in a lot of Israel was very dry and they were very thankful for streams that would continue to flow water in the seventh month.

And if we are willing to endure until the seventh month, we will be among those who are enduring. And, of course, Yahushua said he who endures to the end will be saved, right? And so, the time that Yahushua returns, the first day of the seventh month is a festival commemorating that very event. And so, hey, what do you say about that?

Hebrew Lexicon: 0388 ‘Eythaniym {ay-thaw-neem’} Meaning: Ethanim = “enduring” 1) seventh Jewish month, corresponding to modern Sept. to Oct.; so named because permanent streams still flowed. Origin: plural of 0386; n pr m Usage: AV – Ethanim 1; 1.

Enduring… kind of an interesting name for the seventh month. And that comes from the Hebrew word “eythan,” which means “perpetual, constant, perennial, ever-flowing, ever-flowing like as a stream.” It has to do with “strength” and “might” we see. And it does take strength to continue and endure until the end that we might be saved.

Hebrew Lexicon: 0386 ‘eythan {ay-thawn’} or (shortened) ‘ethan {ay-thawn} Meaning: 1) perpetual, constant, perennial, ever-flowing 1a) ever-flowing (of a stream) 1b) permanence, permanent, enduring (fig.) Origin: from an unused root (meaning to continue); TWOT – 935a; adj Usage: AV – strong 5, mighty 4, strength 2, hard 1, rough 1; 13.

So, very interesting. Spiritually, Yahushua did say this:

Matthew 10:22 - “And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake. But he who endures to the end will be saved.

I like that. Matthew 10:22 sheds some interesting light on that particular scripture, doesn’t it?

So tonight marks the memorial of Teruah– trumpets and/or shouting. And this particular festival is mentioned in Leviticus 23, verse 24.

Leviticus 23:24 - “Speak to the children of Israel, saying: `In the seventh month, on the first [day] of the month, you shall have a sabbath-[rest], a memorial of blowing of trumpets, a holy convocation.

25 – `You shall do no customary work [on it]; and you shall offer an offering made by fire to YAHWEH.'”

So on this day we will blow the trumpets and we will rest and we will gather.

Leviticus 23:26 - And YAHWEH spoke to Moses, saying:

27 – “Also the tenth [day] of this seventh month [shall be] the Day of Atonement. It shall be a holy convocation for you; you shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering made by fire to YAHWEH.

So today is the first day of the seventh month, and that means the tenth day of the seventh month, if we believe tonight begins the first day, that would take our tenth day of the seventh month to the month commonly called September the 24th. So the night of September the 23rd, that will begin this Day of Atonement.

“And you shall afflict your souls and offer an offering,” which the offerings were supposed to be made by the priests, so we don’t do that.

Leviticus 23:28 - “And you shall do no work on that same day, for it [is] the Day of Atonement, to make atonement for you before YAHWEH your Elohim.

29 – “For any person who is not afflicted [in soul] on that same day shall be cut off from his people.

Leviticus 23:30 - “And any person who does any work on that same day, that person I will destroy from among his people.

31 – “You shall do no manner of work; [it shall be] a statute forever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.

32 – “It [shall be] to you a sabbath of [solemn] rest, and you shall afflict your souls; on the ninth [day] of the month at evening, from evening to evening, you shall celebrate your sabbath.”

So the ninth day of the month at evening would correspond to September 23rd. When the sun goes down, “evening to evening” is when we are going to refrain from eating and drinking because that is the time of the Day of Atonement– September the 23rd at evening to September the 24th at evening.

Leviticus 23:33 - Then YAHWEH spoke to Moses, saying,

34 – “Speak to the children of Israel, saying: `The fifteenth day of this seventh month [shall be] the Feast of Tabernacles [for] seven days to YAHWEH.

That is going to be on the evening of September the 28th going into the 29th.

Leviticus 23:35 - `On the first day [there shall be] a holy convocation. You shall do no customary work [on it].

The first day there shall be a holy convocation, which we will be doing there in Steelville, Missouri.

Leviticus 23:36 - `[For] seven days you shall offer an offering made by fire to YAHWEH. On the eighth day you shall have a holy convocation, and you shall offer an offering made by fire to YAHWEH. It [is] a sacred assembly, [and] you shall do no customary work [on it].

That corresponds to October the 6th on the Roman calendar. It is also a day of rest.

Leviticus 23:37 - `These [are] the feasts of YAHWEH which you shall proclaim [to be] holy convocations, to offer an offering made by fire to YAHWEH, a burnt offering and a grain offering, a sacrifice and drink offerings, everything on its day —

38 – `besides the Sabbaths of YAHWEH, besides your gifts, besides all your vows, and besides all your freewill offerings which you give to YAHWEH.

So those are the Feasts of the seventh month officially. The official festivals.

Leviticus 23:39 - `Also on the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when you have gathered in the fruit of the land, you shall keep the feast of YAHWEH [for] seven days; on the first day [there shall be] a sabbath-[rest], and on the eighth day a sabbath-[rest].

40 – `And you shall take for yourselves on the first day the fruit of beautiful trees, branches of palm trees, the boughs of leafy trees, and willows of the brook; and you shall rejoice before YAHWEH your Elohim for seven days.

Of course, these are the tents or the temporary structures they could make out of those species.

Leviticus 23:41 - `You shall keep it as a feast to YAHWEH for seven days in the year. [It shall be] a statute forever in your generations. You shall celebrate it in the seventh month.

42 – `You shall dwell in booths for seven days. All who are native Israelites shall dwell in booths,

That means for seven nights we have to stay in this tent or temporary structure. “Native” means “to spring up.” And so, we “sprung up” when we were baptized.

Leviticus 23:43 - `that your generations may know that I made the children of Israel dwell in booths when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I [am] YAHWEH your Elohim.'”

And that is a reminder that we also dwell in temporary structures ourselves, right? This body that we live in is a temporary structure, although some people act like they are going to live forever.

On the third day of the Feast of Tabernacles a very interesting thing actually took place on the mountains of Ararat.

Genesis 8:1 - Then Elohim remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the animals that [were] with him in the ark. And Elohim made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters subsided.

2 – The fountains of the deep and the windows of heaven were also stopped, and the rain from heaven was restrained.

3 – And the waters receded continually from the earth. At the end of the hundred and fifty days the waters decreased.

Genesis 8:4 - Then the ark rested in the seventh month, the seventeenth day of the month, on the mountains of Ararat.

So in the seventh month, the seventeenth day. The fifteenth day is the first day of Tabernacles. The sixteenth day is the second day of Tabernacles. The seventeenth day of the month is the third day of the Feast of Tabernacles. And that is when the ark rested, on that third day of the Feast, which is interesting.

Genesis 8:5 - And the waters decreased continually until the tenth month. In the tenth [month], on the first [day] of the month, the tops of the mountains were seen.

6 – So it came to pass, at the end of forty days, that Noah opened the window of the ark which he had made.

So, I guess, the waters endured until the seventh month, didn’t they? And then after the seventh month, the seventeenth day of the month, finally the ark rests on the mountains. Interesting thought.

So Noah had to endure his time on the ark, didn’t he, until this seventh month came to pass. And then the seventeenth day, in the middle of the Feast of Tabernacles, the ark rests. HalleluYah!

Another event that took place… we read this earlier, where all of Israel assembled with King Solomon in the month of Ethanim, which is the seventh month.

3 – So all the elders of Israel came, and the priests took up the ark.

1Kings 8:4 - Then they brought up the ark of YAHWEH, the tabernacle of meeting, and all the holy furnishings that [were] in the tabernacle. The priests and the Levites brought them up.

5 – Also King Solomon, and all the congregation of Israel who were assembled with him, [were] with him before the ark, sacrificing sheep and oxen that could not be counted or numbered for multitude.

6 – Then the priests brought in the ark of the covenant of YAHWEH to its place, into the inner sanctuary of the temple, to the Most Holy [Place], under the wings of the cherubim.

1Kings 8:7 - For the cherubim spread [their] two wings over the place of the ark, and the cherubim overshadowed the ark and its poles.

8 – The poles extended so that the ends of the poles could be seen from the holy [place], in front of the inner sanctuary; but they could not be seen from outside. And they are there to this day.

9 – Nothing [was] in the ark except the two tablets of stone which Moses put there at Horeb, when YAHWEH made [a covenant] with the children of Israel, when they came out of the land of Egypt.

1Kings 8:10 - And it came to pass, when the priests came out of the holy [place], that the cloud filled the house of YAHWEH,

11 – so that the priests could not continue ministering because of the cloud; for the glory of YAHWEH filled the house of YAHWEH.

12 – Then Solomon spoke: “YAHWEH said He would dwell in the dark cloud.

1Kings 8:13 - I have surely built You an exalted house, And a place for You to dwell in forever.”

14 – Then the king turned around and blessed the whole assembly of Israel, while all the assembly of Israel was standing.

15 – And he said: “Blessed [be] YAHWEH Elohim of Israel, who spoke with His mouth to my father David, and with His hand has fulfilled [it], saying,

1Kings 8:16 - `Since the day that I brought My people Israel out of Egypt, I have chosen no city from any tribe of Israel [in which] to build a house, that My name might be there; but I chose David to be over My people Israel.’

17 – “Now it was in the heart of my father David to build a temple for the name of YAHWEH Elohim of Israel.

18 – “But YAHWEH said to my father David, `Whereas it was in your heart to build a temple for My name, you did well that it was in your heart.

1Kings 8:19 - `Nevertheless you shall not build the temple, but your son who will come from your body, he shall build the temple for My name.’

20 – “So YAHWEH has fulfilled His word which He spoke; and I have filled the position of my father David, and sit on the throne of Israel, as YAHWEH promised; and I have built a temple for the name of YAHWEH Elohim of Israel.

21 – “And there I have made a place for the ark, in which [is] the covenant of YAHWEH which He made with our fathers, when He brought them out of the land of Egypt.”

 1Kings 8:22 - Then Solomon stood before the altar of YAHWEH in the presence of all the assembly of Israel, and spread out his hands toward heaven;

23 – and he said: “YAHWEH Elohim of Israel, [there is] no Elohim in heaven above or on earth below like You, who keep [Your] covenant and mercy with Your servants who walk before You with all their hearts.

1Kings 8:24 - “You have kept what You promised Your servant David my father; You have both spoken with Your mouth and fulfilled [it] with Your hand, as [it is] this day.

25 – “Therefore, YAHWEH Elohim of Israel, now keep what You promised Your servant David my father, saying, `You shall not fail to have a man sit before Me on the throne of Israel, only if your sons take heed to their way, that they walk before Me as you have walked before Me.’

26 – “And now I pray, O Elohim of Israel, let Your word come true, which You have spoken to Your servant David my father.

1Kings 8:27 - “But will Elohim indeed dwell on the earth? Behold, heaven and the heaven of heavens cannot contain You. How much less this temple which I have built!

28 – “Yet regard the prayer of Your servant and his supplication, O YAHWEH my Elohim, and listen to the cry and the prayer which Your servant is praying before You today:

29 – “that Your eyes may be open toward this temple night and day, toward the place of which You said, `My name shall be there,’ that You may hear the prayer which Your servant makes toward this place.

1Kings 8:30 - “And may You hear the supplication of Your servant and of Your people Israel, when they pray toward this place. Hear in heaven Your dwelling place; and when You hear, forgive.

31 – “When anyone sins against his neighbor, and is forced to take an oath, and comes [and] takes an oath before Your altar in this temple,

32 – “then hear in heaven, and act, and judge Your servants, condemning the wicked, bringing his way on his head, and justifying the righteous by giving him according to his righteousness.

1Kings 8:33 - “When Your people Israel are defeated before an enemy because they have sinned against You, and when they turn back to You and confess Your name, and pray and make supplication to You in this temple,

34 – “then hear in heaven, and forgive the sin of Your people Israel, and bring them back to the land which You gave to their fathers.

35 – “When the heavens are shut up and there is no rain because they have sinned against You, when they pray toward this place and confess Your name, and turn from their sin because You afflict them,

Notice it says: “toward this place.”

1Kings 8:36 - “then hear in heaven, and forgive the sin of Your servants, Your people Israel, that You may teach them the good way in which they should walk; and send rain on Your land which You have given to Your people as an inheritance.

37 – “When there is famine in the land, pestilence [or] blight [or] mildew, locusts [or] grasshoppers; when their enemy besieges them in the land of their cities; whatever plague or whatever sickness [there is];

1Kings 8:38 - “whatever prayer, whatever supplication is made by anyone, [or] by all Your people Israel, when each one knows the plague of his own heart, and spreads out his hands toward this temple:

39 – “then hear in heaven Your dwelling place, and forgive, and act, and give to everyone according to all his ways, whose heart You know (for You alone know the hearts of all the sons of men),

40 – “that they may fear You all the days that they live in the land which You gave to our fathers.

1Kings 8:41 - “Moreover, concerning a foreigner, who [is] not of Your people Israel, but has come from a far country for Your name’s sake

42 – `(for they will hear of Your great name and Your strong hand and Your outstretched arm), when he comes and prays toward this temple,

43 – “hear in heaven Your dwelling place, and do according to all for which the foreigner calls to You, that all peoples of the earth may know Your name and fear You, as [do] Your people Israel, and that they may know that this temple which I have built is called by Your name.

1Kings 8:44 - “When Your people go out to battle against their enemy, wherever You send them, and when they pray to YAHWEH toward the city which You have chosen and the temple which I have built for Your name,

45 – “then hear in heaven their prayer and their supplication, and maintain their cause.

46 – “When they sin against You (for [there is] no one who does not sin), and You become angry with them and deliver them to the enemy, and they take them captive to the land of the enemy, far or near;

 1Kings 8:47 - “[yet] when they come to themselves in the land where they were carried captive, and repent, and make supplication to You in the land of those who took them captive, saying, `We have sinned and done wrong, we have committed wickedness’;

48 – “and [when] they return to You with all their heart and with all their soul in the land of their enemies who led them away captive, and pray to You toward their land which You gave to their fathers, the city which You have chosen and the temple which I have built for Your name:

1Kings 8:49 - “then hear in heaven Your dwelling place their prayer and their supplication, and maintain their cause,

50 – “and forgive Your people who have sinned against You, and all their transgressions which they have transgressed against You; and grant them compassion before those who took them captive, that they may have compassion on them

51 – “(for they [are] Your people and Your inheritance, whom You brought out of Egypt, out of the iron furnace),

1Kings 8:52 - “that Your eyes may be open to the supplication of Your servant and the supplication of Your people Israel, to listen to them whenever they call to You.

53 – “For You separated them from among all the peoples of the earth [to be] Your inheritance, as You spoke by Your servant Moses, when You brought our fathers out of Egypt, O Master YAHWEH.”

54 – And so it was, when Solomon had finished praying all this prayer and supplication to YAHWEH, that he arose from before the altar of YAHWEH, from kneeling on his knees with his hands spread up to heaven.

1Kings 8:55 - Then he stood and blessed all the assembly of Israel with a loud voice, saying:

56 – “Blessed [be] YAHWEH, who has given rest to His people Israel, according to all that He promised. There has not failed one word of all His good promise, which He promised through His servant Moses.

57 – “May YAHWEH our Elohim be with us, as He was with our fathers. May He not leave us nor forsake us,

1Kings 8:58 - “that He may incline our hearts to Himself, to walk in all His ways, and to keep His commandments and His statutes and His judgments, which He commanded our fathers.

59 – “And may these words of mine, with which I have made supplication before YAHWEH, be near YAHWEH our Elohim day and night, that He may maintain the cause of His servant and the cause of His people Israel, as each day may require,

60 – “that all the peoples of the earth may know that YAHWEH [is] Elohim; [there is] no other.

1Kings 8:61 - “Let your heart therefore be loyal to YAHWEH our Elohim, to walk in His statutes and keep His commandments, as at this day.”

62 – Then the king and all Israel with him offered sacrifices before YAHWEH.

63 – And Solomon offered a sacrifice of peace offerings, which he offered to YAHWEH, twenty-two thousand bulls and one hundred and twenty thousand sheep. So the king and all the children of Israel dedicated the house of YAHWEH.

HalleluYah!

1Kings 8:64 - On the same day the king consecrated the middle of the court that [was] in front of the house of YAHWEH; for there he offered burnt offerings, grain offerings, and the fat of the peace offerings, because the bronze altar that [was] before YAHWEH [was] too small to receive the burnt offerings, the grain offerings, and the fat of the peace offerings.

65 – At that time Solomon held a feast, and all Israel with him, a great assembly from the entrance of Hamath to the Brook of Egypt, before YAHWEH our Elohim, seven days and seven [more] days — fourteen days.

So definitely an awesome event here in 1 Kings.

1Kings 8:66 - On the eighth day he sent the people away; and they blessed the king, and went to their tents joyful and glad of heart for all the good that YAHWEH had done for His servant David, and for Israel His people.

1Kings 9:1 - And it came to pass, when Solomon had finished building the house of YAHWEH and the king’s house, and all Solomon’s desire which he wanted to do,

2 – that YAHWEH appeared to Solomon the second time, as He had appeared to him at Gibeon.

1Kings 9:3 - And YAHWEH said to him: “I have heard your prayer and your supplication that you have made before Me; I have consecrated this house which you have built to put My name there forever, and My eyes and My heart will be there perpetually.

Enduringly, right?

1Kings 9:4 - “Now if you walk before Me as your father David walked, in integrity of heart and in uprightness, to do according to all that I have commanded you, [and] if you keep My statutes and My judgments,

5 – “then I will establish the throne of your kingdom over Israel forever, as I promised David your father, saying, `You shall not fail to have a man on the throne of Israel.’

6 – “[But] if you or your sons at all turn from following Me, and do not keep My commandments [and] My statutes which I have set before you, but go and serve other gods and worship them,

1Kings 9:7 - “then I will cut off Israel from the land which I have given them; and this house which I have consecrated for My name I will cast out of My sight. Israel will be a proverb and a byword among all peoples.

Wow! So, major event here. The temple being consecrated for the first time, and Yahweh’s answer. He says:

1Kings 9:8 - “And [as for] this house, [which] is exalted, everyone who passes by it will be astonished and will hiss, and say, `Why has YAHWEH done thus to this land and to this house?’

9 – “Then they will answer, `Because they forsook YAHWEH their Elohim, who brought their fathers out of the land of Egypt, and have embraced other gods, and worshiped them and served them; therefore YAHWEH has brought all this calamity on them.'”

But again, He will hear from heaven if we come before Him in humility, as we are going to see here in Yahweh’s response in 2 Chronicles, chapter 7.

2Chronicles 7:1 - When Solomon had finished praying, fire came down from heaven and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices; and the glory of YAHWEH filled the temple.

2 – And the priests could not enter the house of YAHWEH, because the glory of YAHWEH had filled YAHWEH’S house.

2Chronicles 7:3 - When all the children of Israel saw how the fire came down, and the glory of YAHWEH on the temple, they bowed their faces to the ground on the pavement, and worshiped and praised YAHWEH, [saying]: “For [He is] good, For His mercy [endures] forever.”

4 – Then the king and all the people offered sacrifices before YAHWEH.

5 – King Solomon offered a sacrifice of twenty-two thousand bulls and one hundred and twenty thousand sheep. So the king and all the people dedicated the house of Elohim.

2Chronicles 7:8 - At that time Solomon kept the feast seven days, and all Israel with him, a very great assembly from the entrance of Hamath to the Brook of Egypt.

9 – And on the eighth day they held a sacred assembly, for they observed the dedication of the altar seven days, and the feast seven days.

10 – On the twenty-third day of the seventh month he sent the people away to their tents, joyful and glad of heart for the good that YAHWEH had done for David, for Solomon, and for His people Israel.

2Chronicles 7:11 - Thus Solomon finished the house of YAHWEH and the king’s house; and Solomon successfully accomplished all that came into his heart to make in the house of YAHWEH and in his own house.

12 – Then YAHWEH appeared to Solomon by night, and said to him: “I have heard your prayer, and have chosen this place for Myself as a house of sacrifice.

13 – “When I shut up heaven and there is no rain, or command the locusts to devour the land, or send pestilence among My people,

2Chronicles 7:14 - “if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

Now that is the context of that world famous verse.

2Chronicles 7:15 - “Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to prayer [made] in this place.

16 – “For now I have chosen and sanctified this house, that My name may be there forever; and My eyes and My heart will be there perpetually.

So Yahweh’s eyes, even to this day, are still here perpetually. That means He still has His eyes on the land of Yisrael and Yerushalayim. So, HalleluYah!

2Chronicles 7:17 - “As for you, if you walk before Me as your father David walked, and do according to all that I have commanded you, and if you keep My statutes and My judgments,

18 – “then I will establish the throne of your kingdom, as I covenanted with David your father, saying, `You shall not fail [to have] a man as ruler in Israel.’

19 – “But if you turn away and forsake My statutes and My commandments which I have set before you, and go and serve other gods, and worship them,

2Chronicles 7:20 - “then I will uproot them from My land which I have given them; and this house which I have sanctified for My name I will cast out of My sight, and will make it a proverb and a byword among all peoples.

21 – “And [as for] this house, which is exalted, everyone who passes by it will be astonished and say, `Why has YAHWEH done thus to this land and this house?’

22 – “Then they will answer, `Because they forsook YAHWEH Elohim of their fathers, who brought them out of the land of Egypt, and embraced other gods, and worshiped them and served them; therefore He has brought all this calamity on them.'”

This is a major, momentous event here– the establishment of the temple for the very first time. And it is pretty awesome. His eyes are continually on that place. And He still, to this day, He has His eyes on it. And we can praise Yahweh that He does because one day Yahushua is going to be reigning from there and that will be awesome.

We want to look here in 2 Kings 25, verses 25 through 26. This is a separate era altogether.

2Kings 25:25 - But it happened in the seventh month that Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, the son of Elishama, of the royal family, came with ten men and struck and killed Gedaliah, the Jews, as well as the Chaldeans who were with him at Mizpah.

26 – And all the people, small and great, and the captains of the armies, arose and went to Egypt; for they were afraid of the Chaldeans.

And so, this is a time frame when the exile was happening. And so, a major event again in the seventh month. The same month that the temple was established, this all takes place.

Another event took place in the seventh month. We have here in 2 Chronicles… By the way, you can read more about that particular event here (2 Kings 25:25-26) in Jeremiah chapter 41.

2Chronicles 31:1 - Now when all this was finished, all Israel who were present went out to the cities of Judah and broke the [sacred] pillars in pieces, cut down the wooden images, and threw down the high places and the altars — from all Judah, Benjamin, Ephraim, and Manasseh — until they had utterly destroyed them all. Then all the children of Israel returned to their own cities, every man to his possession.

2 – And Hezekiah appointed the divisions of the priests and the Levites according to their divisions, each man according to his service, the priests and Levites for burnt offerings and peace offerings, to serve, to give thanks, and to praise in the gates of the camp of YAHWEH.

And so, we have a revival taking place here by King Hezekiah. It goes on to say…

2Chronicles 31:3 - The king also [appointed] a portion of his possessions for the burnt offerings: for the morning and evening burnt offerings, the burnt offerings for the Sabbaths and the New Moons and the set feasts, as [it is] written in the Law of YAHWEH.

4 – Moreover he commanded the people who dwelt in Jerusalem to contribute support for the priests and the Levites, that they might devote themselves to the Law of YAHWEH.

2Chronicles 31:6 - And the children of Israel and Judah, who dwelt in the cities of Judah, brought the tithe of oxen and sheep; also the tithe of holy things which were consecrated to YAHWEH their Elohim they laid in heaps.

7 – In the third month they began laying them in heaps, and they finished in the seventh month.

8 – And when Hezekiah and the leaders came and saw the heaps, they blessed YAHWEH and His people Israel.

So there is an event going on in the seventh month.

Also, the book of Ezra. It says:

Ezra 3:1 - And when the seventh month had come, and the children of Israel [were] in the cities, the people gathered together as one man to Jerusalem.

2 – Then Jeshua the son of Jozadak and his brethren the priests, and Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel and his brethren, arose and built the altar of the Elohim of Israel, to offer burnt offerings on it, as [it is] written in the Law of Moses the man of Elohim.

Ezra 3:3 - Though fear [had come] upon them because of the people of those countries, they set the altar on its bases; and they offered burnt offerings on it to YAHWEH, [both] the morning and evening burnt offerings.

4 – They also kept the Feast of Tabernacles, as [it is] written, and [offered] the daily burnt offerings in the number required by ordinance for each day.

5 – Afterwards [they offered] the regular burnt offering, and [those] for New Moons and for all the appointed feasts of YAHWEH that were consecrated, and [those] of everyone who willingly offered a freewill offering to YAHWEH.

Ezra 3:6 - From the first day of the seventh month they began to offer burnt offerings to YAHWEH, although the foundation of the temple of YAHWEH had not been laid.

7 – They also gave money to the masons and the carpenters, and food, drink, and oil to the people of Sidon and Tyre to bring cedar logs from Lebanon to the sea, to Joppa, according to the permission which they had from Cyrus king of Persia.

And so, once again, we see in the seventh month the reestablishment of the sacrificing.

Nehemiah 8:1 - Now all the people gathered together as one man in the open square that [was] in front of the Water Gate; and they told Ezra the scribe to bring the Book of the Law of Moses, which YAHWEH had commanded Israel.

2 – So Ezra the priest brought the Law before the assembly of men and women and all who [could] hear with understanding on the first day of the seventh month.

So, again, an anniversary date here.

Nehemiah 8:3 - Then he read from it in the open square that [was] in front of the Water Gate from morning until midday, before the men and women and those who could understand; and the ears of all the people [were attentive] to the Book of the Law.

4 – So Ezra the scribe stood on a platform of wood which they had made for the purpose; and beside him, at his right hand, stood Mattithiah, Shema, Anaiah, Urijah, Hilkiah, and Maaseiah; and at his left hand Pedaiah, Mishael, Malchijah, Hashum, Hashbadana, Zechariah, [and] Meshullam.

Nehemiah 8:5 - And Ezra opened the book in the sight of all the people, for he was [standing] above all the people; and when he opened it, all the people stood up.

I like that!

Nehemiah 8:6 - And Ezra blessed YAHWEH, the great Elohim. Then all the people answered, “Amen, Amen!” while lifting up their hands. And they bowed their heads and worshiped YAHWEH with [their] faces to the ground.

7 – Also Jeshua, Bani, Sherebiah, Jamin, Akkub, Shabbethai, Hodijah, Maaseiah, Kelita, Azariah, Jozabad, Hanan, Pelaiah, and the Levites, helped the people to understand the Law; and the people [stood] in their place.

8 – So they read distinctly from the book, in the Law of Elohim; and they gave the sense, and helped [them] to understand the reading.

That word for “reading” is the same word for “convocation,” like “holy convocation.” And so, certainly, reading scripture is intended. It comes from the Hebrew word “qara,” which means “to call out.” Mikra” is the word in Hebrew for “reading” and “qara” is “call out.”

Nehemiah 8:9 - And Nehemiah, who [was] the governor, Ezra the priest [and] scribe, and the Levites who taught the people said to all the people, “This day [is] holy to YAHWEH your Elohim; do not mourn nor weep.” For all the people wept, when they heard the words of the Law.

So on a holy day, he says: “Do not mourn nor weep.” Very interesting.

Nehemiah 8:10 - Then he said to them, “Go your way, eat the fat, drink the sweet, and send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared; for [this] day [is] holy to our YAHWEH. Do not sorrow, for the joy of YAHWEH is your strength.”

11 – So the Levites quieted all the people, saying, “Be still, for the day [is] holy; do not be grieved.”

12 – And all the people went their way to eat and drink, to send portions and rejoice greatly, because they understood the words that were declared to them.

There is a reason to rejoice right there. If we understand Yahweh’s Word that is revealed to us by His Spirit, He can cause us to have understanding.

Nehemiah 8:13 - Now on the second day the heads of the fathers’ [houses] of all the people, with the priests and Levites, were gathered to Ezra the scribe, in order to understand the words of the Law.

14 – And they found written in the Law, which YAHWEH had commanded by Moses, that the children of Israel should dwell in booths during the feast of the seventh month,

Nehemiah 8:15 - and that they should announce and proclaim in all their cities and in Jerusalem, saying, “Go out to the mountain, and bring olive branches, branches of oil trees, myrtle branches, palm branches, and branches of leafy trees, to make booths, as [it is] written.”

16 – Then the people went out and brought [them] and made themselves booths, each one on the roof of his house, or in their courtyards or the courts of the house of Elohim, and in the open square of the Water Gate and in the open square of the Gate of Ephraim.

So here they are keeping this Feast of Tabernacles.

Nehemiah 8:17 - So the whole assembly of those who had returned from the captivity made booths and sat under the booths; for since the days of Joshua the son of Nun until that day the children of Israel had not done so. And there was very great gladness.

18 – Also day by day, from the first day until the last day, he read from the Book of the Law of Elohim. And they kept the feast seven days; and on the eighth day [there was] a sacred assembly, according to the [prescribed] manner.

So here we are, a visible example of the people keeping the Feast of Tabernacles.

Now another event that Yahweh caused around this time period, the seventh month, was a false prophet actually died. In Jeremiah chapter 28, verse 15, it says:

Jeremiah 28:15 - Then the prophet Jeremiah said to Hananiah the prophet, “Hear now, Hananiah, YAHWEH has not sent you, but you make this people trust in a lie.

Hananiah had spoken a false prophecy.

Jeremiah 28:16 - “Therefore thus says YAHWEH: `Behold, I will cast you from the face of the earth. This year you shall die, because you have taught rebellion against YAHWEH.'”

17 – So Hananiah the prophet died the same year in the seventh month.

And so, you will see, if you look at the context, Hananiah actually opposed Jeremiah and predicted that the yoke of Babylon would be broken in two years… you know, date-setting prophecies here. Anyway, Hananiah claimed he was right, but Jeremiah predicted Hananiah would die during the year because he had spoken rebellion against Yahweh.

So it didn’t take very long for people to find out which prophet was the true prophet when that man died. They knew that Jeremiah (Yirmeyahu was his name in Hebrew) was a true prophet.

Also, the book of Haggai chapter 2, verse 1:

Haggai 2:1 - In the seventh [month], on the twenty-first of the month, the word of YAHWEH came by Haggai the prophet, saying:

On the twenty-first day of the month. This is at the conclusion of the Feast of Tabernacles.

Haggai 2:2 - “Speak now to Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and to the remnant of the people, saying:

3 – `Who is left among you who saw this temple in its former glory? And how do you see it now? In comparison with it, [is this] not in your eyes as nothing?

And so, this is after the exile. He is talking to the people who came back from Babylon, and he is saying, “Hey, you remember the former temple. Look at it now! And what do you think? Is it just like no big deal to you? Is it like nothing to you?

Haggai 2:4 - `Yet now be strong, Zerubbabel,’ says YAHWEH; `and be strong, Joshua, son of Jehozadak, the high priest; and be strong, all you people of the land,’ says YAHWEH, `and work; for I [am] with you,’ says YAHWEH of hosts.

5 – `[According to] the word that I covenanted with you when you came out of Egypt, so My Spirit remains among you; do not fear!’

6 – “For thus says YAHWEH of hosts: `Once more (it [is] a little while) I will shake heaven and earth, the sea and dry land;

Haggai 2:7 - `and I will shake all nations, and they shall come to the Desire of All Nations, and I will fill this temple with glory,’ says YAHWEH of hosts.

8 – `The silver [is] Mine, and the gold [is] Mine,’ says YAHWEH of hosts.

9 – `The glory of this latter temple shall be greater than the former,’ says YAHWEH of hosts. `And in this place I will give peace,’ says YAHWEH of hosts.”

Shalom or peace. So that is the promise He made through Haggai the prophet, and they actually did, ultimately, end up following his advice there.

Also, there is the book of Zechariah. Sorry, I don’t have Zechariah up there, but there is a fast of the seventh month– Zechariah 8:19. Of course, that is the Day of Atonement.

Moving forward into Yahushua’s words, it says in John chapter 7, verse 1:

John 7:1 - After these things Yahushua walked in Galilee; for He did not want to walk in Judea, because the Jews sought to kill Him.

2 – Now the Jews’ Feast of Tabernacles was at hand.

3 – His brothers therefore said to Him, “Depart from here and go into Judea, that Your disciples also may see the works that You are doing.

So here we have the Feast of Tabernacles happening, and they said, “Hey, come on! Let’s go! Let’s go up to the Feast!” They said…

John 7:4 - “For no one does anything in secret while he himself seeks to be known openly. If You do these things, show Yourself to the world.”

5 – For even His brothers did not believe in Him.

6 – Then Yahushua said to them, “My time has not yet come, but your time is always ready.

John 7:7 - “The world cannot hate you, but it hates Me because I testify of it that its works are evil.

8 – “You go up to this feast. I am not yet going up to this feast, for My time has not yet fully come.”

9 – When He had said these things to them, He remained in Galilee.

John 7:10 - But when His brothers had gone up, then He also went up to the feast, not openly, but as it were in secret.

11 – Then the Jews sought Him at the feast, and said, “Where is He?”

12 – And there was much complaining among the people concerning Him. Some said, “He is good”; others said, “No, on the contrary, He deceives the people.”

John 7:13 - However, no one spoke openly of Him for fear of the Jews.

14 – Now about the middle of the feast Yahushua went up into the temple and taught.

15 – And the Jews marveled, saying, “How does this Man know letters, having never studied?”

John 7:16 - Yahushua answered them and said, “My doctrine is not Mine, but His who sent Me.

17 – “If anyone wants to do His will, he shall know concerning the doctrine, whether it is from Elohim or [whether] I speak on My own [authority].

Notice that. If you want to do Yahweh’s will, He will teach you doctrine. But we have to have that desire for His will.

John 7:18 - “He who speaks from himself seeks his own glory; but He who seeks the glory of the One who sent Him is true, and no unrighteousness is in Him.

19 – “Did not Moses give you the law, yet none of you keeps the law? Why do you seek to kill Me?”

20 – The people answered and said, “You have a demon. Who is seeking to kill You?”

John 7:21 - Yahushua answered and said to them, “I did one work, and you all marvel.

22 – “Moses therefore gave you circumcision (not that it is from Moses, but from the fathers), and you circumcise a man on the Sabbath.

23 – “If a man receives circumcision on the Sabbath, so that the law of Moses should not be broken, are you angry with Me because I made a man completely well on the Sabbath?

John 7:24 - “Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment.”

25 – Now some of them from Jerusalem said, “Is this not He whom they seek to kill?

26 – “But look! He speaks boldly, and they say nothing to Him. Do the rulers know indeed that this is truly the Messiah?

John 7:27 - “However, we know where this Man is from; but when the Messiah comes, no one knows where He is from.”

28 – Then Yahushua cried out, as He taught in the temple, saying, “You both know Me, and you know where I am from; and I have not come of Myself, but He who sent Me is true, whom you do not know.

29 – “But I know Him, for I am from Him, and He sent Me.”

John 7:30 - Therefore they sought to take Him; but no one laid a hand on Him, because His hour had not yet come.

31 – And many of the people believed in Him, and said, “When the Messiah comes, will He do more signs than these which this [Man] has done?”

32 – The Pharisees heard the crowd murmuring these things concerning Him, and the Pharisees and the chief priests sent officers to take Him.

John 7:33 - Then Yahushua said to them, “I shall be with you a little while longer, and [then] I go to Him who sent Me.

34 – “You will seek Me and not find [Me], and where I am you cannot come.”

35 – Then the Jews said among themselves, “Where does He intend to go that we shall not find Him? Does He intend to go to the Dispersion among the Greeks and teach the Greeks?

John 7:36 - “What is this thing that He said, `You will seek Me and not find Me, and where I am you cannot come’?”

37 – On the last day, that great [day] of the feast, Yahushua stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink.

That is why we call it the Last Great Day.

John 7:38 - “He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.”

39 – But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet [given], because Yahushua was not yet glorified.

40 – Therefore many from the crowd, when they heard this saying, said, “Truly this is the Prophet.”

John 7:41 - Others said, “This is the Messiah.” But some said, “Will the Messiah come out of Galilee?

42 – “Has not the Scripture said that the Messiah comes from the seed of David and from the town of Bethlehem, where David was?”

43 – So there was a division among the people because of Him.

John 7:44 - Now some of them wanted to take Him, but no one laid hands on Him.

45 – Then the officers came to the chief priests and Pharisees, who said to them, “Why have you not brought Him?”

46 – The officers answered, “No man ever spoke like this Man!”

John 7:47 - Then the Pharisees answered them, “Are you also deceived?

48 – “Have any of the rulers or the Pharisees believed in Him?

49 – “But this crowd that does not know the law is accursed.”

John 7:50 - Nicodemus (he who came to Yahushua by night, being one of them) said to them,

51 – “Does our law judge a man before it hears him and knows what he is doing?”

He saw through it. They were quick to judge.

John 7:52 - They answered and said to him, “Are you also from Galilee? Search and look, for no prophet has arisen out of Galilee.”

Now after this is the story of the woman caught in adultery. It is questionable whether that story is accurate or true because it is not found in the most ancient copies of the book of John, nothing earlier than the fifth century, actually– no Greek manuscript earlier than that.

Anyway, there is also Zechariah 14. Although it is not really an event that occurred in the past, it is certainly a prediction of the future day when the whole world will be keeping the Feast of Tabernacles.

Zechariah 14:16 - And it shall come to pass [that] everyone who is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall go up from year to year to worship the King, YAHWEH of hosts, and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles.

17 – And it shall be [that] whichever of the families of the earth do not come up to Jerusalem to worship the King, YAHWEH of hosts, on them there will be no rain.

Zechariah 14:18 - If the family of Egypt will not come up and enter in, they [shall have] no [rain]; they shall receive the plague with which YAHWEH strikes the nations who do not come up to keep the Feast of Tabernacles.

19 – This shall be the punishment of Egypt and the punishment of all the nations that do not come up to keep the Feast of Tabernacles.

And that is our future. So pretty momentous events taking place there in the scriptures regarding the events of the seventh month. HalleluYah!

And I want to go ahead and take a look here, a final gander, at the New Moon reports. Northern Nevada– “there were clouds and smoke from the California fires.” Maybe that is what those were. A lot of what looked like clouds, maybe it was just smoke. Eastern Idaho: clouds, reduced visibility. No visual sighting there.

Victoria from Michigan– “Steve and some of our sons went to look for the New Moon. They sat and waited for the sun to set, but did not see it. Later they looked at the GPS and said the moon was set an hour after that. He thinks they might have seen it had they waited, but we don’t know.” And they are just new.

When the sun sets, within a thirty minute window after the sun sets, you are going to make sure you are there. That thirty minute mark… twenty-six/twenty-seven minute mark… twenty-five to thirty minute mark. Make sure you are looking.

Tonight here I think the moon actually set no more than forty minutes or so after the sun went down. So you are not going to see it any later than an hour after sundown.

All right. So, those are our local reports here. I have New Moon reports, if you haven’t heard already, from South Africa, Virginia, North Carolina, Tennessee, central Ohio, Georgia, Missouri– as far north as the Rocheport and Columbia area– Texas, Florida, Kentucky, Mississippi. So those are all good. Let me check another location for some reports.

Virginia, we mentioned that I think. We have a report in the Virgin Islands that they were able to see the New Moon. Michael in the Virgin Islands was able to see the New Moon there. And we are going to check another report here before we go.

Multiple places in Texas, Mississippi, Alabama. And we did get one picture that we put up earlier of the New Moon, and I will try to show that to you.

This is the New Moon as seen in Texas. And if you look up here, you will notice that this is where the crescent moon was. And it looks like they just caught it because here comes a bank of clouds. Fairly high in the horizon actually down there.

But there are other areas throughout the United States that the moon was not visible and that is okay. That is not a problem. You can keep it a day later. The people in Israel are going to be keeping it a day later. And that is okay. There is nothing wrong with that.

I am just going as close to Scripture as I can. If I see the New Moon here, I am not going to pretend like it doesn’t exist. I am going to go with it and that is what we are doing.

And so, if you live, actually, along this line right here, if you live close to that line, I would say probably, if you had clear skies, you would be able to see it. I wouldn’t really have a problem if you kept it tonight.

Up in here, I got some reports from Michigan and other places up in here where even though they looked, they couldn’t see anything. So I would say probably this middle section here and downward, I wouldn’t have much of a problem doing it. But up here in this upper section, you can wait and keep it when Jerusalem does. That is okay.

It is just the way Yahweh had it set up. And, in fact, you wouldn’t even know that unless we had something known as the Internet. You wouldn’t have any clue. If you looked out and you didn’t see anything, you would call it the next day. When Yahweh says this is a New Moon, this is a new month.

And people that keep it differently (they keep it at conjunction), they run into the same problem because do you keep a conjunction as it is in Israel or where you are at? You know, they have the same problem, and if the sun sets at 7:58 and the conjunction is at 7:58, which day is the New Moon? Which one are you going to call?

And they had that problem actually a few years ago. So it does happen. But I’m pointing this out because it appears to me, for whatever reason, Yahweh has given us some leeway here and I suspect it is probably because… if you go back and look at the early part of Genesis, it appears to me that they had exactly 30 day months.

And they were not 29.5 whatever days. They were exactly 30 day months. And at that time, perhaps the moon’s orbit was a little bit slower than it is now. It may have sped up now.

And I have wondered if perhaps at the time when the flood happened if there might have been something that happened with the moon’s orbit that caused it to be amiss and Yahweh allowed that for a reason.

And the reason could very well be that here we are, the seventh month– a sign when Yahushua is supposed to come back– and some people just don’t know the day or the hour. And so, Yahweh may have allowed this slight imperfection to give us the sign of the Messiah and the very thing that we are experiencing right now, this difficulty and so on.

And so, I think even in this that there may be some significance. You know, Yahushua returns at the last trump and this trumpet has this crescent shape to it, pointing to the crescent moon. You know, just all kinds of things in Scripture.

And so, I don’t know. I think it is pretty amazing and pretty awesome that the thing we are experiencing here, even in the difficulty of determining in certain parts of the United States, “When is it?” and everything, and us down here in Missouri, we have the luxury.

There are other times we are on the line. So it just happens we happen to be on the line.

So, praise Yahweh! And I hope your Yom Teruah is blessed. There will be no broadcast tomorrow. I am going to go fellowship with the brothers in this local area. Something I don’t get too often, so I am going to take advantage of that and enjoy that.

And I encourage you, if you can, meet with others and enjoy the fellowship that comes with the Feast Days. Get together, shout, praise Yahweh, blow shofars and enjoy yourselves!

So I am going to sign off here, brothers and sisters, with a final blast of the ram’s horn. So, one final blast of the ram’s horn, and we will call it a night. Here we go. This is sounding the alarm… Shalom!

"Not to us, O Yahweh, not to us, but to Thy Name give glory..." -Psalms 115:1
